I dug myself into a hole. I bought a bunch of games for used or cheap recently, all of which I'm technically 'currently playing', though few of which I'm more than an hour into. The list of games is:

Wow, that... That's a lot of games.

I try to limit myself to two or three at a time, so I do not get all confused with the different stories, and in this case only Dragon Quest is the game that has a story.

But that's 22 games there :\

Also, let me know what you think of Metroid: Other M. I am thinking of adding it to me "Buy when cheap" list, but I keep hearing extremely different opinions of it.

Edit: Oh, and yesterday, literally seconds after creating this topic, I started playing through Alien Swarm again. Awesome game, which only seems to take an hour or so to complete :D

Yoshi's Island GBA and Advance Wars Dual Strike sit inside the DS I bring to work and play whenever I'm not servicing planes.

I play the wii every so often but I'm not currently playing any one game or anything. It's on a whim.

Other M is deserving of mixed opinions. It's a very different Metroid game... It doesn't really have that Metroid feel. Even Prime 3 captured that more than this game does. The storyline so far (as far as I can tell, I'm about a third of the way through) is almost cringe-worthy poor, but it gets a lot better after the opening cutscene. The voice acting for Samus could have been a lot better as well.

As for the gameplay, the only complaint I have is that it feels a little repetitive. Beyond that, it's really fun to be able to leap around that quickly with Samus, charge up shots that feel very powerful, lock onto enemies and shoot genuinely devastating missiles, perform lethal strikes as finishing moves, and Sensemove, a form of dodging attacks that are about to hit you.

All in all, it's what should be expected of Team Ninja. Great gameplay, epic cutscenes, sub-par story and voice acting. I'm happy that they didn't ruin Samus's dignity as a character like they do with so many other female characters.

I should note that I'm actually getting into the story now that I'm decently far in. There's a certain small, furry creature that I have speculations about.

EDIT: A few hours later, I take back all I said about the story being bad. It's not great or anything, but it's actually really suspenseful and reveals important details at just the right pace. My only complaints now are Samus' voice and personality, as well as Adam's STUPID authorization of my abilities. Though that does lead to a half-funny half-morbid scene later on. Also:

So far, I've beaten Terra's story in BBS and am currently on Ventus' story. Currently playing through Spiderman like the crazed fanboy I am, shit's really fun. I really like the Ultimate universe more so then Amazing or 2099. Haven't gotten to Noir yet though.

After these games, I already have a bunch of games I'm planning on getting. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood in November (still waiting on the beta) and then hopefully Golden Sun in the Winter.

Been playing SCII lately, not much though.

I remember you saying that. Now that I'm in college, I actually can buy those games. XD DMC2 was only four bucks used, so I decided to buy it. I couldn't find 1, and isn't 4 a PS3 game? Anyway, I'll be sure to get around to DMC3 as soon as I'm done with my load of homework over the next few days.

Ya and when they finally reveal the new devil may cry name after 2 years of waiting...its a reboot that shits all over the franchise. Dante looks like a 16 year old Adam Lambert, what the hell Capcom? All I know is that they better change him back god damit.

Have to agree about Dante's new look, it sucks... I have never been a huge fan of the series, but to me he has always looked like a badass and what not.

The new look is just a joke...
