Can you access the underground despite wireless not being emulated, or do you get an error message/crash and can't go down there?

I was trying to think of a team I'd use for a Platinum LP, so it'd be fun to know if I can at least have elemental stones. And Heart Scales for the move relearner, and shards for the move tutors...

I'm almost positive you can. You can even go on wifi with people on ds's if you have the right hookup.

It emulates it. Also just beware of Fatal sound errors if you are playing it on the no$gba

Thinking about Starmie? What else is there that you'd be remotely inclined to use that needs a stone? Clefable? Vappy?

Judging by the fact that I can go into the underground on my Platinum with my DSi Wifi turned off, it shouldn't be a problem.

Okay, thanks guys. That's good, since while the Sinnoh Dex is stacked with great Pokémon the lack of trading support prevents several of them from being usable.

Having done an ingame run with both Scizor and P-Z on my team, I think it's worth it to go to the trouble.

It's also one of the reasons Platinum is my favorite in the series now. So many good stuff added to the Sinnoh dex, plus means to actually get the damn things in a timely manner. IIRC it's the first time you could ever use a Porygon2 or higher before the E4.

Also, consider using a cheat to obtain the Rotom Key, since I also had one of those and it was really fun to use ingame, plus you have the pleasure of switching between unique attacks without really losing anything in the process.

Nah, there's still more than enough stuff around to do it clean. Torterra, Uxie and Giratina are in no matter what, and I'm interested in Togekiss, Mamoswine and a few others as well.
