It was more an example of stuff that was simply there in some form, but isn't now. Like Mud Slap. I don't use it or think highly of it, but like Horn Drill, it represents a move that had a much bigger learnbase when it was actually optional and not relegated to a couple egg or leveling lists.
Having said that, unlike Razor Wind it looks like they actually tried to make this thing appear worth the charge-up. High crit rate (according to PBR at least) plus flinch chance, and.. it's 140 base power, isn't it? Two-turn attacks still suck ass, and probably always will, but at least the second turn of this move isn't a fart into the breeze. Razor Wind is.
The Pikachu line gets a new toy via the Notched-Ear Pichu! Wanna bet that it's something awesome?
No. It never is when it comes to that line. They have so many event moves, and they're all garbage. Pain Split is what it is. If they wanted to give it to an Electric-type this bad, they could at least have thought of Magnezone or Raikou or something...
And Spiritomb, and Swalot, and Weezing. And who else than those five learn it? No one. That's right, Pain Split is that good. Stealth Rock can go die in a fire!
Nah, but on a more serious note, it's sort of a recovery move for those who haven't got anything more reliable, akin to Synthesis and friends. Hence why I didn't mention Zapdos. Magnezone could've had some fun with it though. But Pikachu and Raichu? Especially the former, who dies whenever it fails to kill (and Pain Split never will)? The other five are all about defenses (except for Mismagius, who uses Pain Split much less than the others because of that). And Raichu's defenses make Mismagius' look like Giratina-A in comparison...
Necroposting makes me feel all warm and cosy. Also-
OHSHI- You have like, all the legendaries from all games except for Celebi, Mew, and the Regis from the 3rd Gen and most of the 4th Gen's legends. You can get one of each Generation's starters except for the 4th's. A lot of stuff that wasn't in the original GSC games is in now. All I say is OSHI- I TOTALLY DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING. I'm seaching for the ROM ATM, but I won't post it because I'm an asshole.
Thanks for stretching the page with what we can easily read ourselves.
According to Serebii, Whitney's Clefairy and Miltank both lost a level, which don't give me a good feeling about trainers to come.
Eh, sorry. I don't think 1 level is that much. That Miltank used to be a pain in the ass, I remember it took me a day to get through it. FUCKING ROLLOUT.
Yeah, they probably nerfed it because of how notoriously hard it was, unless you happened to have a Fire Blast Quilava. *wink wink*
But still... God forbid we have some challenge in a Pokémon game. That doesn't have Mystery Dungeon in the title, anyway.
Really looking forward to Morty, to see what direction the levels will go in. And please... drop Gastly for Misdreavus plz? Not holding my breath, since they didn't even evolve the increasingly effeminate Bugsy's cocoons.

>_______> Actually, the levels are the same and the team is the same. No changes at all.
Good job, Morty! You've convinced Jasmine and Pryce to keep the Magnemites and Seel, respectively!
*sigh*
Well they got part of the region layout correct in that we can explore landmarks we couldn't, which I guess would have bothered me more than some shitty gym leader fights.

If the Miltank has Thick Fat, Fire Blast won't be all that great. And Rollout will hurt Quilava most.
I was referring to my LP, of course I know that. And something tells me it has Thick Fat, on top of the already confirmed Lum Berry. Two resistances, including one to a starter type, and a free anti-status pass are going to make this thing a pain despite the level drop.
But I'm just wondering how come Falkner's Pidgeotto has such a high level, if all the other Pokémon, sans Pidgey, are within one level of their original one. Is there more stuff to do prior to the first gym?
Edit: I found out that indeed, there's more stuff... depending on whether you did the Sprout Tower before or after. Now you're forced to do it before. Also, Scyther and Gengar have Sitrus Berries.

This isn't the first time I've forgotten about your LP. Maybe it's a sign that I should stop being like the one person on this site not following it. I actually have no idea who is following it.
