I want to raise a few more pokemon before Platinum comes out -

I need to finish raising the rest of my Dark team by the time it's out so I can have the Anti-lead Honchkrow ready once I find the move tutors.

I have Drapion (swords dance sweeper) and will be raising a Nasty Plot Houndoom (will only use HP if its a decent type...). I'm probably going to use a Choice Band Weavile since I'll be leading with Honchkrow, most likely.

What I need is a good idea for Umbreon (trap passer?) and another Dark Pokemon for the last slot. I'd rather not use T-tar because Sandstorm isn't going to help me. Spiritomb would probably be my best bet for an immunity to fighting. Just not familiar with Spiritomb so I need some help.

If you have use for a trappasser, yeah, Umbreon's your man. Curse + Payback isn't bad, either, especially when it comes with support options like Wish, BP, Yawn or Taunt. It's your call what you want to make it.

As for Spiritomb, it's a foregone conclusion since you've ruled out Tyranitar, and all the other Dark-type OUs and BLs are already on your team. It's got a great amount of options, but be wary of Hypnosis, since the accuracy drop single-handedly pushed it out of OU. (Some may blame Rotom-CFHSW as well, which is a valid point.) Anyway, you might want to check out Smogon's Spiritomb page to see what might suit you best, because the movepool will make you feel like a fat girl in a chocolate shop.

Ya, spiritomb is a great pokemon, I"ve been using it as my OU lead with great results and its stats love pain split to the point where I might use it even if it had recover.

Yeah, low HP and great defenses make it an ideal Pain Splitter. Even though you'll want to max out HP no matter the set, that is.

I spoke to CrossDragon in chat yesterday and he convinced me to go with T-tar and Cacturne - although I do still plan on raising a Spiritomb.

I need to get me a Darkrai though lol

I've used a mono-dark team before, and Cacturne is very useful with or without sand veil. It actually made me think Cacturne is underrated.

Pre-platinum set, too, so no Superpower, but now it's an option over Counter or Focus Punch.

I also used Boah with Ice Beam and Dark Pulse, and that worked extremely well.

IIRC my team was Houndoom, Honchkrow, Spiritomb, Cacturne, Tyranitar and.. crap. Forget. Honchkrow and Absol though are now better than ever (considering what few assets they had at least.)

Well I can always trade this Cacturne over and get it Superpower from the tutor.

My Boah is Dark Pulse/Ice Beam - I think it's more useful to me since I need the Beam more than I need a Bolt.

Absol standard would be something like SD/Sucker Punch/crithax/crithax? I remember reading up on some annoyer sets from Absol but I don't remember. I do have a female Absol so breeding moves are easier for me to get.
