Even when ignoring the double standards you pointed out, it still has to come down to the glitch simply being far too gamebreaking. There are videos of this glitch revealing the user's ability in its damage message (regardless of the fact that a large number of Pokes strongly desire one ability over the other in all sets) which is not supposed to happen regardless of the idiotic "who knows what the developers intended" argument.
When I mentioned it possibly being implemented into Shoddy by way of a new move, even that wasn't as ridiculous as the way you'd "have" to implement it by simulating wifi- you'd have to integrate Pursuit into your moveset and plan on the opponent using Tyranitar for instance. When you (inevitably) have people using Pursuit not for its intended purpose- killing switches- but to set off/abuse a glitch, you are willingly breaking the game. That's a no-no.
I have to wonder if anyone for this glitch is not only fully aware of that fact but plan to do that themselves, and not simply blindly adhering to some stupid "code"? Would it be different if a glitch went even further and automatically gave everyone Levitate? "LOL DONT USE TOXIC SPIKES, THATS SO EARLY FOURTH GEN" or, hell, make it so any move with fixed damage is an auto-OHKO. Would you guys so furiously hump that glitch's leg too, so that Jolly ScarfMence with Dragon Rage tops the usage charts until the same idiots that implemented it realise that they were, in fact, idiots, and remove it?
