This week I will be making a lot of updates. I've already updated some serious bugs here on the site about 10 minutes ago. Other than regular backend bugs and optimizations, I have also fixed much of the edit bug problem that still persists, and most people won't have a problem with it for now.

Right now mods have three new features:
1) Clear cache - you can clear the cache of a given topic, in case it starts acting funny.
2) Lock topic - this simply makes it impossible to create new replies or edit the topic (or replies).
3) Archive topic - this locks the cache, locks out the ability to edit the topic/replies or create new replies. It also does not count any votes made to the archived topic or the replies there in.

Mods: If you know of any old posts that people don't need to reply to, please archive them. It's too often an old post from the old site gets responded to, for no real reason, and it creates a lot of problems.

I'm also thinking about adding a features to where topics are automatically archived after 6 months of note replies and no votes (meaning nobody is talking, and probably nobody is reading). If I chose to do this, mods will still be able to unarchive them.

--

Keep your eye out for more updates this week. I'm setting a lot of time aside to do it. If you have any suggestions of features to add, pages to add, things to change, etc - please reply here and be as detailed as possible, and I mean seriously detailed.

--

Some updates are coming to the point system as well, changing how you can make money (making it easier). It's really a thanks for adding content, because if I'm making money from the site, why can't you? ;-)

Do you think Libelldra could possibly add polls to their topics? I don't have a detailed explanation, but some forums have polls in the topics that let you select votes and tallies the responses. Some polls allow the voter to select multiple responses. I'm sure anyone who remembers the Invisionfree Libelldra domain will know what I'm talking about.

I'm not certain about selecting multiple responses, however I can guarantee that polls are coming, but we can't say when. They are going to be a part of The Hive, and will be easy to include in forums with a small BBS code. To be completely honest, I cannot think of why one should be able to choose multiple answers.

Lmao. I'd like polls though. I want to go back to Pokemon. If the January S4 Patch fails to delivery, I'm going back to Pokemon hardcore.

One feature I'd really like fixed up is the Latest Post links. It'll bring you directly to the most recent post when clicked, but only while the topic exists on a single page. Once the posts go on two or more pages, the Latest Post leads only to page one, so you must manually click the other page numbers to find it.

It started to get highly annoying for very large topics, as there was also a glitch in that the first post to begin a new page would not be indicated by a new page number; you'd have to click Next Page to see if there were anything there. So if a new post began what was technically the 12th page of a topic, there would still only be 11 pages indicated with no link to the twelfth. For that matter, Next Page apparently shows up regardless if there's any posts on the "next" page or not.

When you have a poll about having things (for example, a video game console) and the number of singulars is, say, six, then it's ore convenient to be able to select multiples. Which looks nicer?

1
2
3
4
5
6

or

1
2
3
4
5
6
1/2
1/3
1/4
1/5
1/6
2/3
2/4
2/5
2/6
etc.?

:\
