but only for youtube, for now.
Well, embed is finally back, but much more simple. So far it only supports youtube - I asked you guys if you knew of other video sites worth support and nobody said anything, so until then it'll just be youtube.
It's pretty simple, in any given youtube URL there is a weird key of multicase letters and numbers, something like:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXy2AmRDQBQ&feature=rec-HM-fresh+div
Simply take that number/key/hash thing and put it into this:
[embed type=youtube]uXy2AmRDQBQ[/embed]
And the result will be:
[embed type=youtube]uXy2AmRDQBQ[/embed]
So, if you have any old posts with youtube entries, please fix them -- or if you're a mod, you can also fix them for others.
Basically this is a part of a new BBS system we're working on, that'll be more powerful and faster. So far we've created several different new BBSCodes, and eventually will publish them all and probably make a super easy to use menu for them.
