And it's funny you say that, since at least I could take McCain seriously. You couldn't make up the stuff that comes out of her mouth, even with the field day comedic script writers have been having. I also have no idea why Fox would actually release a report that McCain's campaign workers had a lot of issues with Palin and some of the things she'd said, considering at that point they surely had to know that she'd try to run later and news like that would only hurt her. I mean come on. Not knowing Africa was a continent? You don't let that see the light of day.

I saw that report, and I have trouble believing that. It seems like the kind of things you would read in a tabloid newspaper ("BREAKING NEWS: SARAH PALIN THINKS AFRICA IS A COUNTRY"). I don't really see that report as being credible, IMO, and I wonder why Fox would even break such a story. It feels like they are playing into the blind hate that some Americans feel towards her. I thought it was pretty pointless to do a news report on gossip.
Not a few think they threw her under the bus because they blame her for McCain's defeat. You have to admit she was the furthest thing from an ace in the hole, even if at the time it seemed like a good idea to try and bring over undecideds that would have leaned more toward Clinton had she won. She DID play a strong hand in his defeat. Much like Joe the Plumber was milked dry, so was "A heartbeat away from the presidency" and she was wholly unfit for the job.
It's funny how none of you guys realize that Obama is taking out troops in Iraq just to put them in Afghanistan.
Funneh.
Not to mention that he's only raising taxes for the top two upper brackets by 3%.
Wooooooo Obama. FUCK YEAH.
Don't get me wrong. I'm all for change, but what really pissed me off was all the black people that were yelling "Obama" at my school. If you were to ask them what he stood for, 100% of the answers would be "taxes".
IMO them being in Afghanistan is a huge improvement over the current situation.
Anyway, Palin being "a true conservative" is what makes anyone that's even remotely Not!Conservative a massive turn-off, the delicious repetitive blunders are just the cherry on the sundae. My favorite has to be Les Justiciers Masqués having her believe Johnny Hallyday is Sarkozy's special foreign affairs adviser, and Stef Carse (a pop singer!) is prime minister of Canada. I mean, jeez, anyone in the American portion of this site's userbase could name our PM. (Hopefully.) How she didn't realize something was wrong, let alone go along with the whole thing, no one, NO ONE can make that up. Hey, screw that, let her run in 2012, and push the ridicule to the point where she scores 8% in the Iowa caucuses, and goes down with a whimper the day after.
And just for kicks, just how much clothing can you buy with 150 grand? With just a thousand bucks worth of clothes I can last several years, even starting from scratch.
Actually, it's the opposite. We give a **** because like it or not, America IS the center of the world, and the decisions of whoever's in power affect all of us, even if we don't have the right to vote. It's very, very wrong to think only America paid the price for eight years of Bush.
They do when we make ourselves look like the dicks of the world. Sometimes fat, stupid lazy dicks at that. I may be a dick, and bordering on extremely stupid, but fat and lazy? I don't need that kind of stereotype! Especially after all the effort I put into my abs!
The fact that much of the world wanted a Democrat as the next president is an obvious sign that they're very aware when we pull a dick move that it is, in fact, a dick move.
To be fair, the world is always biased towards the Democrat, because as I said, Republicans are arguably the political formation that's the most right-wing in the entire Western world.
But after 8 years of Bush phail... add a young, positive, dynamic guy to the mix, throw in a visible minority for extra sympathy points, and you got a near-unanimous call.

That's because, as you figured, it isn't credible. This came up in the #politics channel on slacknet, and I went hunting for the original source, and apparently it was some guy at newsweek, who had heard from someone else, who had heard from someone else that she had said it. I don't know of a better definition of hearsay, and that journalist has lost all integrity and should be fired, IMO, not because it was about Palin, but because it's so god damn stupid to do something like that.
