What about a Mewtwo equivalent? Something powerful, legendary, and unrelated to the other legends with the possible exception of the Mew-Celebi-Jirachi-Manaphy/Shaymin equivalent? Mewtwo had the first Pokemon movie ever made about him...

Either that, or we're dealing with something that's essentially the new Manaphy, but that's closer to Deoxys or Darkrai in terms of looks.

And on a completely unrelated subject, I'm looking for a used copy of Mario Kart Wii, and holy crap are those expensive. I didn't think there'd be so much demand compared to the likes of SSBB or Mario Galaxy. The sad thing is, I'm not interested in the wheel at all, and I'm thinking it helps bloat prices so much.

MKWii is not a particularly good game, and candidate for the worst in the Kart series. Don't spend more than 30 bucks on it used (game itself of course.) This opinion is coming from someone that has been a rabid Kart fan for over a decade and bought each installment without question. This however made me cautious from the get-go and so I played it many times with a friend who happened to buy it, and came to the decision that it wasn't worth my money.

To give you an idea of how much I disliked this game, I was a big fan of the GBA and DS installment (which I think many felt sucked in comparison to others.)

And I'm adamant that it has and will have nothing to do with Mew/Celebi/etc, and that the equivalent of those nonthreatening events will look similarly small and nonthreatening.

It's, in my honest opinion, my favorite in the series. So I don't see why I shouldn't pay some money to be able to play it again.

Also, best fake ever:

*raises eyebrows* Didn't expect you say that. I can barely stand to play it.

Edit: That actually looks cool, though we know the likelihood of that =P

Mightyena does need an evo however. There'd better be one, GameFreak! Magcargo also!

I could count the number of times I've played any one of the pre-Wii Mario Karts on both hands, but Wii managed to grab my attention and OCD tendencies. I've had a lot of fun with it, and do prefer it to the ones I've played enough to determine how I feel about them. Those ones would be SNES, 64, and Double-Dash. Although, to be honest, I only play Wii because my girlfriend got it. It's not something I'd pay money for myself.

Meant to say this yesterday, but I was almost shocked by your runs through 5-9 (or whatever the flame chomp one was) and Roy's airship. I never expected you to finish either within a pretty small number of lives.

I.. I admit it! I've come to take your.. platforming abilities for granted, so to speak >_____>

Here's holding out for World 6. Plenty of annoying levels there.

Edit: You did make up for it by dying in that tiny hole in the corner. Screw failing at difficult levels, Slowflake shows off deaths that no one else is capable of even faking.

World 6 is going to be hell, indeed. Ice levels in a game where traction is horrible? As I believe I mentioned, Megaman on ice has better traction than Mario on regular land.

Speaking of MegaMan, what game had you gotten up to in the classic series? I've forgotten.

MM10 is a little over a month away. I wish there'd be more news on it, namely regarding the DLC.

MM5. I beat all the Robot Masters, but I still have to collect some letters. But man does it have some lame weapons... I really like the Power Stone, though. It's no Metal Blade, but still very cool.

Edit: Part 24 of Emerald is done!

Hey, it's gotten me out of many jams. I can hit just about anywhere on the screen with that. The Crystal Eye, Napalm Bomb and Gyro Attack are all cool too, but the Power Stone lets me say screw you to enemies a mile away.

Edit: MM5 down... funny how Wily went down to anything BUT Robot Master weapons. Charged Mega Buster shots for the first form, Super Arrow for the second, Beat for the third. Speaking of Beat, how are you supposed to beat Dark Man without it? Even with it I needed to down an E-tank, and that was after several attempts at doing it without E-tanks.

I tried a stage in MM6, and I decided on Plant Man since that was who Megaman fought first in B&G, but then again I'm only two for five when it comes to beating the same Robot Master first as in B&G (Cut Man, Toad Man). And... I never got to Plant Man. I guess I'll try again tomorrow.

Zorua and Zoroark. What'd I tell ya? MOVIE STARS. That alone signifies that these aren't some shitty Evil Team fodder or dark Rattata or other such poke. No one would make a movie about Mightyena, after all.

That said, monotype is not particularly interesting, nor is a fox with a dark motif. These abilities may make up for it.

Heh, looks like you posted at about the same time I edited my last post.

But yeah, I wished it would've been Dark/Fighting. That kind of typing would've been really quirky, with a Fighting that laughs off Psychic attacks as though they were nothing, and a STABbed move that owns ghosts. Missed opportunity, but oh well.

If it were dual-typed, they would have said that right off the bat, wouldn't they? The red in the fur made me think of flames, but they were probably going for a blood-like and not fiery look.

I won't pass it off as a disappointment just yet. If nothing else I'll wait until much later down the road when someone has the game and rips the base stats. Apart from Tyranitar the dark type isn't particularly known for destructive beasts, and those with any sort of muscle are frail.

Then again using Tyranitar as basis for comparison is unfair as it's part of the league of 600ers. Same for comparing Heatran to fires, another type that doesn't have much going for it aside from Infernape.

Edit: I do think Zoroark looks cool on all fours; it gives off a savage appearance, like the classic Behemoths of FF games.

If the developers are as savvy as one makes them out to be, they probably aren't dumb enough to do that.

But while we're at it, GALLADE WITH TRACE GOD FUCKING DAMNIT THIS SHOULD HAVE EXISTED SINCE THE BEGINNING

Edit: I was looking at a smogon topic and my eyes happened to catch this sig:

"You know you're a Pokemon nerd when you get why this is funny:
Abomasnow @ Icy Rock
"

I'm ashamed to admit that before reading the "You know ... " part, I saw the quote and snorted. >_>

I'm not really sold on Eruption Heatran, to be honest. Sure, a Choice Scarf could make it work, but Heatran's sturdy enough that it's often gonna live below half HP, where Eruption starts sucking. I wouldn't be surprised if people stuck with the other three Fire moves just for the sake of consistency. Entei still has Flamethrower as its Fire move of choice by a fair margin, and it's much faster than Heatran is. Water Spout is also little more than an afterthought on Blastoise.

Heck, just giving Heatran a foot in the door is going to be complicated. Stealth Rock and whatever attack it switches in is likely to make Eruption weaker than Fire Blast from the get-go. Sure, we're probably going to see loads of Scarftrans in March and April regardless of how effective it is, but I don't think it'll turn out to be that good.
