As to what you said in 105, didn't Umbreon already get Payback?

Edit: Nevermind, I assume you mean Karen's Umbreon specifically.

If I may humbly correct a few of your mispronunciations.. I haven't bothered saying anything over a few previous videos because I didn't want to make a habit of it (and they were very slight errors, anyway) but these two were a bit... off.

Awry is pronounced Uh-Rye or Aw-Rye (depending on your dialect), and Mach is pronounced exactly like Mock. I was actually a little surprised that you said that one incorrectly, as I was under the impression that, being a scientific term, was known worldwide. But I digress.

*facedesk* Thanks... I honestly didn't know that, though I get the feeling this is something that I should have known. Though, Mach's pronunciation isn't the same in French as it is in English, so that mistake could've been expected.

By the way, #85 most viewed channel in Canada yesterday? Do want!

If it makes you feel better, over the years I've managed to botch several words of my own language, though at least I knew how to spell them and the context to use them.

Among them are insatiable, facade, nonchalantly, and finite.

Many years ago also took me a while (thanks to no one fucking correcting me) to learn that lucrative was referring to prosperity and not interest, so I would use lucrative in context of something that was much more entertaining. I ended up learning the mistake on my own. -_-

Not that it matters much, as I'm not a good speaker and get tongue-tied easily, especially while chatting on the phone. Friendly conversation aside I don't like to talk much.

Continue not dying? Repto's gonna be pissed if that happens ;)

Though I'm expecting a lot of trouble from world 5 on, so I guess I should take the opportunity to breeze through the levels while it lasts.

Exactly. I can be quite patient, and I've no doubt in my mind that you'll have plenty of... let's say "insane footage" during the latter half. In the meantime, your Boomerang Bro encounters were quite nice.

Pipe Maze ought to be a gold mine of powerup loss and obscenities.

World 6 is gonna be a pain as well. In a game where you slip all over the place when there's no ice in sight (you saw me almost fall off that pipe in stage 2-5 because of that), this is going to be the stuff of nightmares. Such a shame you're not watching a newbie hopelessly trying to find the exit of stage 6-5 for hours on end.

BTW, I'm posting this here just to avoid necroposting (a practice I despise) in the HGSS spoils thread, but I removed Power Trick from Machamp's and Gliscor's lists for fairly obvious reasons (namely, the presence of Bulk Up and Swords Dance in their respective movepools).

Yeah, I've messed around with PT Gliscor and not only is it counter-intuitive given what Gliscor does best, it's pretty useless on its own considering Gliscor's stats and most of its moves aren't geared toward sweeping.

Also, I can't believe I didn't notice it until now (which should tell you I've never used it before), but why the hell does Bounce have only 8 PP at max? Is the evasiveness and paralysis worth such a meager BP and accuracy for a two-turn move? I mean, look at Sky Attack. 140 power, plus good flinch and crit rate. Yeah, no one uses that either, but it kinda deserves to be 5 PP.

Power Herb should be a weather or even Tailwind-like item. You enter battle, it activates (and vanishes) and your two-turn attacks execute instantly for that duration. I'd use it, because without making you a sitting duck, STAB Sky Attack does tear shit apart, at least when you exceed base 100 attack.

Does anyone know if Gravity offsets the major drawback brought on by Hustle?

Why wouldn't it? If my calculations are correct, even with Hustle a move with 75 accuracy and up shouldn't miss under Gravity.

No, the issue is why in the name of heaven, hell and everything in between would you use a Hustle Pokémon? Just look at what gets it, the one Pokémon that doesn't completely suck has less attack than a peashooter.

As for doing two-turn moves in one turn... the idea of making those moves useful is good, but ultimately you know you're gonna break the game somehow. Hey, wanna have your PorygonZ spewing out Hyper Beam every turn? Sky Attack would be way too lethal too. MD2 had an IQ skill that allowed you to use those moves in one turn at the cost of an extra PP, but this is the game where the damage formula makes them worthless and where PP is more important than ever.

Edit: If you like stupid comments, there's one in today's video. "Is Crystal over?" Yeah, Tin Tower 4F was the end of the game...

Really? Someone really is THAT stupid? Wow, why do I underestimate Youtube? I mean, Gamefaqs people are stupid, but even they are smarter (Still, people like GBChaosmaster definately stick out amonst the croud as the smart ones), and many believe that GFaqs to be the worst community in the world (last great topic there I saw was... Pillowwizard's Diamond adventure. 2 years ago.)

EDIT OF DOOOOOOOOM!: I was reading through you're rant archive, and you mentioned on Cloyster "Skill Link shouldn't EVER be considered unless it's Rock Blast we're talking about, and to my knowledge nothing has the two, so screw Skill Link."

HA HA HA!

1. Power Herb only works on moves that attack the second turn. It's useless for Hyper Beam.

2. Sky Attack has an extremely limited learnbase, the strongest pokemon of which being Aerodactyl with an average base 105. Given that Flying isn't a particularly destructive offensive type I think it balances out.

3. I was curious about Hustle + Gravity. Asking what Magcargo's BST is doesn't mean I'm going to use the thing.

True, maybe next gen there'll be something with Hustle worth using.

And that Cloyster bit... just proves how much pull I have. Gamefreak comes to me for advice!

Do you have a map for the teleporters?

Nope, I only checked the Pokéearth to know how many floors the puzzle spanned.

Three.

And I thought I was so slick going straight for the key in the Silph tower... at least I would've gotten some practice in.

Also, YouTube, nice maintenance. I got errors left and right all day, and after the maintenance's over... I still get errors. Awesome.

The first teleporter you come across takes you to the items, but if you avoid and take the jumps instead it goes to the roof. Its not really a puzzle.

I guess if Red really trounces me... because I see no other time where it might be of use.

Oh, and check out the comments section of the channel's main page. Apparently Unown can beat Wobbuffet. Who knew?
