lol, WTF. Why would ANYONE do a LP of Halo?

By the way, I strongly recommend editing your profile to contain "**Do not submit requests for LPs or any sort of video, because I do not take them.**" or something to that effect, because I assure you, you'll still be PMed or get profile comments or whatnot otherwise. That video won't be enough. If you want, you can add that you don't have plans to do any more LPs when your current ones are finished, and so on.

It worked for me at least, it's been a very long time since someone accused me of using invincibility codes or some other cheat on my vids, since I edited my profile info.

I was wondering when a 300 reference would come. A topic reaching 300 posts isn't exactly common on this site. (THIS... IS... LIBELLDRA!!!)

And I did exactly what you said and put a notice on my channel. Now there's no excuse.

Part 75 should come tomorrow.

Heh, I THOUGHT I heard a YGO Abridged Series reference in there. One of the few things on YouTube I try to stay on top of.

Although, as LittleKuriboh explicitly mentioned in the last episode, the updates come as frequently as on VGCats.

Oh, and... MORTAL KOMBAT!

Yeah, I just watched that one for the first time today. The Marik segments have gotten pretty funny over the last few episodes.

The fisherman battle was awesome.

Well, his topic means that's one less email I'll find in my inbox asking me about it. It was funny the first ten times.

Well isn't this good news! Apparently all it takes for Shaymin and Regigigas to set off their Platinum event flags is that the poke in question be "met in a fateful encounter." Since the bonuses work for any version of them, this makes it so easy for me to hack a fully functional Skymin without needing to look up its event specs of have my friend trade me his. Whee.

Coming later tonight: both Ken's Labyrinth part 25 and Pokémon Red part 79. You'll have something to look forward to in the latter, since if you haven't seen the news yet, I'll deliver them to you, and you'll want to gouge your eyes out with a rusty spoon upon hearing them.

Someone on the Diamond board put it pretty nicely, though I can't quote them verbatim- Smogon has really got to stop this fucking Flavor-of-the-Week unbanning and reintroducing things into play. It all but guarantees the metagame will never be balanced since they inject things into it too quickly and frequently. Platinum already interfered badly when it nerfed Hypnosis, gave Scizor Bullet Punch, and dumped a huge bucket of Move Tutor moves onto everything.

Apparently this frequent testing has been enough to disuade people from battling on Shoddy.

Good point there. They should've just wrapped up the whole thing with re-testing Shaymin-S after Manaphy... now it's getting ridiculous. Everything that needed to be tested has already been... on the plus side, I imagine that if the Soul Dew test lasts two or three days, there won't be any more unbanning tests for a while, because they've run out of things to test.

Ho-oh in standard. Wait for it.

(I really hope I'm kidding.)

I was thinking the same thing while at work. It's the next logical step, now that Wobbuffet and Deoxys-E are out of the equation for another generation. And it's a fairly easy one to theorymon your way out of: 50% chance of burn on every last one of its possible counters (save Stone Edge Infernape) switching in is a no-no. Prediction is just useless with this thing: when in doubt, Sacred Fire away, and good things will probably happen.

Plus it'll amusingly shut Scizor and Heatran down like nothing else can. Flash Fire specs Overheat? Go right ahead, Tranno. 154 SDef, type resistance, Pressure and solid HP say do your fucking worst. (I know what a stupid move that'd be, but something people relentlessly bark about Heatran is that it 2HKOs bulky waters with FF specs Overheat.)

It's kinda strange how I'd find it hilarious if Ho-oh spent time in standard, yet it wouldn't stop me from shitting a brick when the idea was actually seriously entertained. You know people would be willing to pack at least two rapid spinners just to accommodate this guy.

And the aforementioned Stone Edge Infernape to take out other Ho-Ohs, which mean you've got four Pokémon that'll be the same on every team. That can't be healthy.

But as for what you were saying about there being too many tests, I believe that all the tests ran so far were fully justified, and I think every one of them resulted in a tier change for the better (except maybe for the ultra-debatable Shaymin-S). Wobbuffet? Gone. Garchomp? Gone. Deoxys-E? Not only is it also gone, but it's had a huge resurgence of use in ubers since now people fully understand how to play it (so bringing it back to OU for a while was also beneficial, ironically enough). As for SD-less Lati@s, they were probably uber last gen, but a test was very much needed to see if they still were. After all, they did stagnate while the rest of the field improved significantly. And when it comes to Manaphy... as I said in the video, it was about time - they should've done this one way before Wobbuffet or Deoxys-E. But that's all. Anything else is overkill, pointless, and while theorymon isn't an exact science, there are still some things that are painfully obvious and don't require a test. Soul Dew and Ho-Oh are two of them.

It's not that I think there are too many tests per se but their frequency. And the guy I quoted has a point about not being able to achieve true balance if it's essentially offset every time they toss something new in.

It's worth mentioning that this guy seemed bitter about Latias.
