Anyways, Rotom forms wouldn't really be that great, Rotom is a terrible Pokemon anyways.

I also highly doubt they'd give 5 extra forms to a single pokemon.

It just seems so... excessive.

well they do look a lot mechanichal, which is kind of well sucks, and i can make a rotom evo which will rule, i hope one of them is a chompety counter, also this generation made pokemon look too well advanced, they were simple, now look at giratina, don't u see how weird looking it is, this gen made pokes look so weird, and they're adding more, but well u can't argue with them and they created cute pokes in this gen so it kind of balances it out, also i tihnk they r hoaxes i don't know why but i feel they r

If Pokémon weren't getting more complex, people would complain that they're running out of ideas. Which they've done ever since Gold and Silver came out, incidentally. Anyway, as far as complexity goes it gave us really cool-looking Pokémon like Torterra. It's based on an Oriental legend, I hear.

And for being such a terrible Pokémon, Rotom sure dominates UU a lot. It's Gengar's and Mismagius' *****, but it still has merit on its own. All it needs is more stats.

It's a great Anti-Hitmon/Purugly, and can be a pain in the ass, but other than that, there's not much he can do.

Either that, or every Rotom I've ever fought hasn't been used to its full potential.

Torterra and Infernape, in fact. Torterra's off that Eastern myth of a turtle holding the world up on its shell, and Infernape is believed to be based off of Sun Wukong from the Chinese tale "Journey to the West." "Son Goku" is what Sun Wukong is named in Japanese, and that name should be a little more familiar, no?

I don't know the first thing about Dragonball, but I sure know that name.

Guys, what if they made the Rotom Evolution really really broken? Like Garchomp broken? And Rotom's typing/ability remained the same?

But of course this is just me daydreaming, I would love to see another Ghost Pokemon that's as overused as Gengar. But that'll never happen, because this is Gamefreak we're talking about.

I mean, there have been many hoaxes over the years of Pokémon, and new Pokemon being revealed 2 years past the release of the previous gen (DP) and even BEFORE Platinum got out seems too fake to me.

I'm tempted to say they're Rotom alternate forms. Why? Well, in the Pokédex says that Rotom in know for infiltrating electronic/mechanical devices and wreak havoc on them. They seem kinda electronic/mechanical to me. One of them (bottom right) looks like a fridge actually. O_O It's possibly Ice/Electric. Dual STAB on possible BoltBeam. *runs*

And alternate forms of the Regis? Get the hell out of here before I kill you.

So Serebii updated again. Apparently the new pokemon ARE alternate forms and event alternate forms at that.

Giratina apparently gets Outrage in its Origin Form. Now I'm a little more interested in a physical based set.

Aw, drat. I was expecting evolutions for next gen, too. Rotom needs more than just a makeover for it to be salvaged.

Anyway, apparently those will be made available over Wi-Fi! At least this means no drive to New York or whatever. This begs another question, though: are those Platinum-only, or can the data for these forms be downloaded into D/P?

Now, the question is, is it just going to be cosmetic changes? Are there going to be new moves? New stats? Knowing our friends at Gamefreak, if they're willing to make them so readily available by Wi-Fi, I'm gonna put my money on pure cosmetics.

As for Spite, it's a shame Giratina isn't faster than Arceus, else it might actually be useful. And Mud-Slap? WHERE'S MY ****ING RECOVER?!?

Edit: Just showed the silhouettes to my brother, he thinks the bottom-left one is Tangrowth. Actually, the top-right one could be it as well, now that I'm looking at it...

Don't put that frown on just yet. If it's all but certain that Shaymin and Giratina will have different based stats, it's more than possible that those forms will too.

And I am now very strong on the hunch that they have something to do with Rotom and haunted appliances. Here's hoping one is a fridge and we get some Ice Beam. Another one looks like a camcorder.

Just to rectify, while Serebii hinted at different stats for Shaymin, he said nothing for Giratina.

And the thing is, while they CAN have new moves and stats, the fact that they're going to be distributed over Wi-Fi leaves me very skeptical.

At any rate, I don't think we'll have to wait until September 28 to know all about them. If they're in Platinum's game code, you can bet we'll find out everything very rapidly.

Edit: Trying to figure out what appliances those could be. Top left looks like a camcorder, and ironically, it's the one that makes me think most you're on to something. Bottom left's a fridge, bottom right's a TV, bottom middle's... a... toaster maybe? I'm really drawing a blank on the top right, though. No idea.

Top right could be a light bulb, and while that's not an appliance per se neither is a camcorder and neither has to be directly plugged into something. ...not to mention this would be a Pokemon, so plugs are irrelevant.

The middle one throws me way off because of those claws. But as long as these Rotom things would have outside "appendages" like the spikes, taking the round shape into mind, think it could be a clock?

Camcorder, light bulb, fridge, clock, television. Things you could feasibly expect to be somewhere in a house.

Edit: Looking at it again, it might not be a clock, but yeah, more like a toaster or oven. It clearly looks like it has little nubs beneath it like legs. I got the oven idea after the claw things made me envision oven mitts.

guys u really r on to smoething, oh now i see it, the purple one is surely not a television as it's rectangular while televisions r squared, i think the purple one is obviously an oven, the blue one is some sort of fridge as everyone is saying, the green one is like a cameracorder as repto said, the orange one is a light bolb but turned upside down, i can't figure out the red one maybe it's some sort of ermmm yeah it's a clock, u were right the first time repto it definately is a clock, if u look closely u can see it like i do,

but all of em r some sort of appliences, and since rotom haunts apliences they might be some things that r afraid of him or something, they definatley r new pokes who supposedly fear rotom, and all of em r apliences for sure, i think in the old chateu we can find them, do u know the dinning table, i think they will be their, as overns, lightbolbs, clocks(sometimes there r clockis in the dining room), fridges and cameras(few people have cameras in the dining rtoom but meh) so i think we will find them in the dinning room of the old chateu and after we catch all 5 rotom will appear, just a theyroey but meh
