Hey everyone. I've been playing Pokemon for the better part of near 8 or 9 years now. Back when I did the competitive battling there wasn't much to it really. Now I come back finally and I'm shocked by how much this style of playing has changed. I really want to get in to competitive battling again, however, I don't understand half of what is talked about any more. So, here I am. Coming to learn and get back out on to the battle feild. Anyone willing to help out a dusty old veteran of the R/B era of battling is greatly appreciated.
I guess a little about me and my style should be discussed. Favourite type is water. Always has been since the day I remember getting my first Squitle and feeling the joy of watching it grow and evolve in to a Blastoise. That still hasn't changed. My team way back really one dimensional. Blastoise, Gyarados, Vaporeon, Slowbro, Starmie and Golduck. I would sometimes sub any one of them out for a Dewgong, Poliwrath or Lapras. On the opposite spectrum however, I detested Fire type, with a single exception. My Raicanine (Arcanine). He comes with a pretty strange Glitch story attached to him, however I'll regale the boards with that one another time.
As much as I would love to continue using a team of Water-type, I know it's not possible anymore. So. I've just started my Pokemon Diamond file and am slowly training up my little Penguin girl. I also got that little electric cat type thingy so far.
Anyways. Nice too be here and I hope I can enjoy many different kinds of battle with you guys.
Water's still a decent type to have, after all, I think over 20% of pokemon are water, that's an insane amount considering there's seventeen types of pokemon. The only difference is now, you put a Rain Dance Bronzong in the front of the team, use a kingdra, an electric type and a sturdy tank that isn't affected by Earthquake and can also use Rain Dance... OR, you can just play in ubers where Kyoger's Drizzle effect is probably every other battle.

welcome to libelldra, i hope u have a good time here whilst enjoying what we have to offer, and u sure did play a lot, that's almost once it was released so i bet ur one of the thoughes battelers here so we're glad to have u here, lol, and i can help u to adapt the new metagame and hopefully become the best more than u already r, but the team ur suggesting is mono type, so it doens't work that much, but if u like it nothing can stop u from doing what u like and u will really like it here and i hope ur new journey with these new pokes will be great.
