I don't consider it hacking. I consider it a base start. Work from it. Train the Pokemon. I consider hacking the creating of Pokemon(Not training basically.).
I'd be careful if you do that, fineifold. I went to one of their tournaments before, and while sleep clause and evasion clause don't exist, the referees/monitors of the event definitely checked our games. They had us start up the files, show them our inventory and pokedex. I don't remember if you can store items anymore, but, if you can, try to bypass the item check that way. They will check your pokedex to make sure you didn't catch an Arceus or something absurd you shouldn't have now. Other than that, I haven't been checked for anything else.
It was the GameStop tournament they had a while ago - you know, for a free copy of PBR?
I didn't place very well because in the first match I went against a friend who was much more knowledgeable about Pokemon than the rest of the competition - this was back when I was fairly new to competitive battling too. I wasn't too pleased that the event was run at level 50 instead of 100, because I felt my EV training was wasted quite a bit...
Gah, that was so frustrating. Seeing all the stupid kids using Fly with Girantina and whatnot. = w =
Though, I do remember this little kid who was boasting about his 999 stat Arceus and kicking everyone's ass. PBR rejected his team and he started crying. His mother even came in and was arguing that her son should be able to play, and I was like "O-kay, lady. Your kid's obviously cheating even if he won't admit it..." He even said he was chaining legendaries to get them shiny. = w =;;
OH! That's another thing. The monitors even banned shiny pokemon because they thought those pokemon were hacks. =/ Be mindful of that. Hopefully your referees won't be as stupid.
Then i'd have 9999999999 poke points... I think ill just go with flounder's idea.
that brings up another question, I defeated 5 pocheyenna's with my rhyhorn holding a macho brace, but I only got 3 more attack points upon levelling, is there something i'm doing wrong or do you say, get all the points at level 100 or something?
Well, you can also just toss them...
What can the refs say when they see your money...
I barely use money in the game myself and it gets to that amount....
My friend was going to do likewise until he heard that they were doing pokedex checks. So, he restarted his whole file and rushed through the game to get the pokemon he planned on enterring with. Lucky him for the 50 levels thing. He would've been crushed if it weren't for that since his pokemon were severely underleveled than the rest of ours.
Funny how he placed third with his brother as first. I always found it amusing that he made such a huge comeback from restarting his file.
By the way, stat points you see when you level up are not relevent to your end result. So, pay no attention to the "lack" of stats you may encounter. They show up when you enter wifi battles at level 100, or if you reach level 100...
From the Nintendo Rules of their new tournament, it seems that they'll check through coding in the game. So I wouldn't hack at all. Then again, it could be just a scare.
What you could also probably do is borrow a friend's/sibling's/acquaintence's cart and trade the pokemon for the tournament to it, and then just use that cart as needed.
Well just make sure you don't have Legendary Pokemon's IVs at a perfect 31 for each stat unless their nature is Calm, Timid, Modest, or Docile. Otherwise it's illegal.
And Flounder,
You can't defeat the ULTRA ULTRA ULTRA ULTRA COMBO!
