Then again, the whole point of Levitate is because Regigigas' alternate form would be the Sky Form - though from what I've read from other sources, the Sky Form would actually be Shaymin's alternate form, and the Land Form its regular one. All in all, that whole alternate form thing is a gigantic cluster****, except of course for Giratina itself.

I'm hoping these BSTs remain the same amongst the alternate forms, and can be switched a la Deoxys method or something, because it means I can simply hack them onto my existing cart and port them with the help of someone I know I can trust.

Thinking about it I don't see why the BSTs would matter anyway at least in the case of remaining the same, since they both follow the pretty basic guidelines of their class. I'm sure Shaymin will still be 100 across the board and Giratina will still have 680.

Hmm, I expected something new today, or at least confirmation of things that were leaked this weekend. Is there really no word on any of that, and all there is officially for now is that one Corocoro scan?

There is a new official scan on the official site. Check Serebii for it.

So all that's set in stone is that Origin Giratina is going to be there (no hint on whether it's going to be playable or not), that both Dialga and Palkia will be involved somehow, that the playable characters are getting new outfits and that the game's coming out this fall in Japan. That's... not much.

Anyway, my money's on Origin Giratina not being catchable during the fight at Spear Pillar (which would be consistent with it not even being in the Sinnoh Dex), but obtainable after the E4 somehow (a return to Spear Pillar would be consequent with the return to Sky Pillar to catch Rayquaza in Emerald). I don't think the Origin form will be playable, either. There's the whole compatibility with D/P, PBR and Ranch thing as I already mentioned, and then there's the fact that it's the form it uses when it travels between dimensions. And clearly, when it's in a Pokéball, it's NOT traveling between dimensions.

I see no reason why Giratina won't be transferrable- it's no different from Deoxys. It'll automatically convert it to its appropriate form, I think.

About that... I made a break through about that, probably. Wanna see it? Are you sure? Let's go.

Giratina was originally catchable in Turnback Cave, where the dimensions are twisted. Technically, that would count as travelling through various dimensions. Get my point? Yeah, that's right. If what I said is right, the Another Form would be a form used when travelling dimensions and the Origin Form would be the form it'd use in this dimension, in the dimension where the game is played.

Yet, there's a problem. When you catch Giratina, it is in Turnback Cave. But when you get out of it, there's no change in Giratina's form. Still, this can be solved like we could fix the Berry Glitch in R/S, IIRC, with a FR/LG cartridge. Except this time, you'd use D/P as R/S and Platinum as FR/LG.

As I said a few days ago, I think the thing about Deoxys was that the data for all its forms was available in all versions of the third gen games, whereas there's no trace of Origin Giratina anywhere so far. Unless Platinum can somehow patch D/P, PBR and Ranch to update them with Origin Giratina, which I doubt is doable.

Then again, why would they bother giving it a new ability if it wasn't going to be playable? I mean, replacing Pressure with Levitate would make such a big difference in-game!

*shrug* at the end of the day it's just Giratina. PBR won't accept it, no one in their right mind will want to battle it, only children and/or fags will have the nerve to use it, etc etc. Whether or not it takes off in Ubers once Shoddy implements probably isn't of concern to many.

I have an AR, so there'll likely be an update to the present ominpotent Pokesav or else some other method of hacking a "perfect" one, should I ever want to bother with it.

Even with all its faults I'm actually more interested in a supposedly different Regigigas. I've always been a fan of those big behemoth-like Pokes; nothing truly special about them, just huge with a similarly huge attack stat. Dragonite is also a behemoth, albeit not very dangerous looking.
