I always hear people complaining "there are way to many pokemon knockoffs". I can think of one. I enjoy pokemon so I would like to hear some more. Does anyone know of a game similar to pokemon (control things with rpg style). The only Guideline I can think of is the obvious don't say games with pokemon in them.

The one pokemon knockoff I can think of is Demikids (light version in my case)it's almost exactly like pokemon only people die, the monsters are mythilogical creatures from various religions, and..... oh yeah, 6th graders summon demons and the 6th graders turn out to be half human, half demon, I don't know how that's possible though O_O

It's for the gameboy advance, has roughly the graphics of emerald, and has in total 350 monsters. It's not found very many places, though if your detirmined you might find it at gamestop for at the most $20.00

The first thing that comes to mind of a Pokemon knockoff is Robopon.

Definitely like Pokemon. ...with a lot more frustration and possibly a pinch of suck (if I remember correctly, money is hard to get, the story's kind of wonky, and things you need to do through the game are kind of vague). Still enjoyable if you're into the whole collect them all thing or battling robots.

I don't really recall much from it, but I'm sure you "caught" your Robopon by using magnets to keep them from running away from you. XD;

It's on the tip of my tongue... It's a GB Color game, IIRC. A friend let me borrow it one time. I'll go look at Brawl's Chronicle ASAP for it, to see if it rings a bell. (At least it serves one purpose) It's surprisingly similar... So much so, I was using the ABABAB+Down combo while catching monsters.

by atlas theres also shin migami tensei 1 and 2 for the playstation 2 and gameboy advance.

there are 14 versions of shin migami, that counts as a lot of pokemon knockoffs. Actually, shin migami was created first which means pokemon is a knockoff ^_^

I actually like Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs the Soulless Army. It does feel a bit like Pokemon, but with more "cooperation" between the "master" and "servant" relationship. Plus, it's definitely cool to be able to use a katana or gun to take down an enemy in conjunction with ordering your summoned monster to do various attacks.
