I didn't realize I made dialga out to be hard :x just as long as you're prepared you should be fine.

Well I think about 8 X-Eye Seeds and 4 Reviver Seeds are more then enough. Then again, my Partner could self heal with Mega Drain and Synthesis. Meanwhile I relied on Oran Berries and the Reviver Seeds. A Fighting move on Dialga is heaven. Brick Break kicks ass. Still stuck. Mind as well raise my Rank while I'm waiting.

Wow, Bubblebeam lost a lot of PP, from 19 all the way down to 10. In MD1 it was the definitive Water move because of range, high PP and 100% accuracy, but here Bubble's probably better (not to mention Water Pulse, depends on whether you prefer 30% confusion or 10% speed drop). In fact, it seems all the good moves lost quite a bit of PP... I haven't seen Bullet Seed yet, but I imagine it's dipped into single-digit territory.

On one hand, the PP drop seems fair, since dungeons in general are shorter in this one (with the longest non-Zero Isle dungeon clocking in at about 50 floors, I think). But since the game is so much harder, is it really that fair? Better start stocking up on those Max Elixirs, by golly (not that I haven't started doing so yet, yup yup).

Taking care of the dojo right now. Two mazes down, 7 more to go, and screw the Ghost Maze for now.

Edit: So it turns out Bubblebeam lost its 100% accuracy, as I saw Surskit miss with it. That means they tampered with the power and accuracy of moves as well, not just PP. Gogogo Bubble and Water Pulse.

Edit 2: Apparently, Hustle's accuracy drop only applies to physical attacks, so for those looking to assemble the perfect Togekiss, it just got even better.

Edit 3: The egg hatched... it's a Shroomish! The initial stats are great, though it's probably because it comes from an egg... but the stat growth is pretty sad. Pokémon that come from eggs also have a 4-move moveset rounded out by egg moves. Mine had Fake Tears, Swagger and Worry Seed. Super. Just super. Where's Seed Bomb? Wake-Up Slap? False Swipe?

Speaking of False Swipe, it's by far the most damaging move in the entire game (or at least it was in MD1), and even at extremely high levels the difference in damage can be somewhat noticeable. It's just that it can't kill anything, but other than that it's incredible. Since it's a TM now, I suggest you keep an eye out for it.

Does anyone have the WonderMail Code that lets you recruit Riolu or any of the Time Exclusives? If so, please tell.

From your keyboard to my screen. Those are the codes I used, and the reward for the Riolu one is that you get to keep the Riolu!

someone reported that a keckleon shop in deep zero isle sold one.

Also, the golden mask (found in deep zero isle >_>) helps with recruiting, allong with the sevel treaures ( aka the items found in the 7 wondermail legendary dungeons)

Wow, you seem to get stuck a lot. What are your levels right now, for future reference?

Both my Bulbasaur and Torchic are at level 33 right now (with Surskit and Geodude in the high 20s), before Amp Plains. Overkill? Maybe, but with all the horror stories I've heard about that place I can't be too sure. And there are still some things I want to do before going there, like hitting Platinum Rank (or whatever's after Gold Rank if it changed), exploring a few unlockable dungeons and doing a few more mazes in the dojo. (Got killed by a Hi Jump Kick from a Meditite in there earlier today, and it didn't even have a Pure Power boost.) Maybe get Surskit Agility, too. That'll help a lot. Oh, and Torchic's got that IQ skill that boosts max HP by 10. Awesomesauce.

Someone mentioned Riolu and Lucario having both Steadfast and Inner Focus earlier in this topic... as it turns out, Steadfast isn't entirely useless, as it kicks in when you're cross-eyed, something that isn't covered by Inner Focus. So there.

Lmao that is overkill. I think i was like maybe 20 or so when i beat amp plains, and I had a totodile ( omg luxio battle), but it wasn't so hard, probably because early in the dungeon i got a girafarig with agility ^_^

So the loser who copy-pasted Serebii got his FAQ removed. Serves him right.

Also, my good action of the day. If you're still early in the game and without a Pichu, here's a code I found on GFAQs for the Secret Slab:

%J@S JJ&J R0#2
F%+T 78C4 +=K1

In this one you have to escort a Cacnea to the 14th and last floor of Mt. Horn, then find the Secret Slab that's there. Pretty easy, considering that dungeon has very small floors.

So now I have a Secret Slab. Is there any point to having both it and the Enigma Part? And is there any other requirement to fulfill for actually meeting the legendaries? I'm asking because Zapdos can be found in the Amp Plains, and the prospect of recruiting a legendary at that stage of the game is quite compelling. I'm thinking the Secret Slab is all I need, since Zapdos is only level 29 compared to the others that are in the 40-53 range (since Zapdos is the only one that can be found before Dialga). And speaking of Zapdos, does anyone have info on Discharge?

Edit: Did some research, apparently Discharge hits every enemy in the room with no drawback. Holy crap.

Heh, I'd like to get some things straight. First, I didn't realize this at first, but my friend showed me, that if you don't have a pichu, just go through the normal beach cave entrance and it works. Glitch? Maybe, but kinda funny. Ok, next, there's not really any point in having both. Unless there's some secret each have that we don't know about, then they're only good if you lose the other. Ok Zapdos, IS lvl 49 when you meet it, serebii is wrong. I've recruited Zapdos (first try <3) and it's lvl 49. Good news is it know no attack moves, so it's basically gonna t wave you and that's about it.

Oh, thanks. A level 49 Zapdos... wow. That means it's just one level away from Discharge. I want it so badly now... provided its stats are good. Many legendaries had disappointing stats in MD1, hope they fixed it at least.

By the way, I'm not sure if you noticed this, but Pokémon's movesets are made up of four moves chosen at random among those they can know. So maybe you got lucky and got T-Wave + Detect + Charge + Agility, but you also risk eating Pluck (which is especially nasty as it steals a berry from your bag), Thundershock or Ancientpower. And apparently you got lucky getting it on your first try as well, because from what I've heard those legendaries have low recruit rates.

So I got an Exeggcute that knows Bullet Seed, and turns out it kept all its PP. Phew, that's good news. In other multi-hit move news, Rock Blast seems to miss more than it did in MD1. Even so, it remains the definitive Rock move.

Yeah, mine knows twave, detect, agility, and charge >_>

And yeah, those legendaries have pretty low recruit rates (20 tries and still no darkrai :x)

Right now, I just got past Blizzard Isle. Hurray for Monster Houses killing me every single time when I get onto the 19th/20th floor. Bastards, that's so damn annoying. Anywho, Both my starters are Level 40 atm. <_< Slowflake, you're overkill. Atm, I'm going to go through Crevice Cave, Own Froslass and do the Shimmering Gave mission, get my Terra Cymbol and recruit myself a Garchomp. <_<

Finally did Amp Plains, and, umm, hot knife through butter doesn't even begin to do it justice. Maybe I got lucky, but I didn't encounter any monster houses along the way. I didn't see Zapdos either, which can be either a curse or a blessing considering it could've wiped me out. The boss fight was surprisingly easy, since as I found out the Luxios and Luxray had the same stats as those in the dungeon (typically bosses have artificially boosted stats). Micromanaging Agility, Rock Polish and my best attacks meant several OHKOs per Pokémon per turn, so the battle took something like three turns, and I don't think I even took a hit.

In the IQ skill department, Bulbasaur got some awesome ones. There's the one that boosts the PP of all your moves... that means 15 PP on the Bullet Seed machine gun. Even more if we count the PP Saver skill. There's another one that grants a 10% experience bonus to Bulbasaur for every enemy beaten. It's official, I'll hit level 100 by the time I beat Darkrai. >_> Torchic got one that increases belly recovery by items. Too bad it's not my leader. Whatever.

Gonna do a few more missions and recruit a few Pokés. Fun fact: I usually only do missions in dungeons I haven't recruited all Pokémon in. That means the first four dungeons are out of the way, along with Mt. Horn and some of the unlockable dungeons. Apple Forest would be taken care of as well, except for the fact that there's no cheap cop-out like in D/P to make your Combee female. Anyway, now that Recycle is a TM I'm going to pick up one via WM code (check out the WM FAQ on GameFAQs if you're looking for one), then I can be more liberal with TMs from now on. Especially if I can find a Bullet Seed code for a dungeon I can go to. The only one I have is for Crystal Crossing, and from what I understand there's no bathroom break between that place and the trip to the future, so it's gonna be a long time with no Bullet Seed. So should anyone stumble upon an early Bullet Seed code, PLEASE share it with the class!

Edit: I knew they nerfed Sonicboom from 55 damage back to the regular 20, but I just read they cut Vacuum Cut's damage in half, from 35 all the way down to 18. And people like that move?

I found teh bullet seed code:

@33S &#p2 YK3P
H3-M @7&T R4N9

I"m not sure if it works, but I'm gonna try it right now.

Still no recruited Darkrai, my god, I've tried at least 100+ times now. I really want the friend bow or golden mask but...

Meanwhile, my friend is being a jerkass (yes I said jerkass). He found some golden seed codes and wont give them to me, and now his team is all lvl 100's. Fucker, he pisses me off a lot. I actually do work to raise my levels and then he gets some fucking codes, total bs. He also keeps rubbing in my face that he has aa lvl 100 lucario ( he has darkness) and i keep telling him i dont give a fuck. He also pisses me off when he brings up brawl (My friends and others who have played him decided that he falls under the cheap/spammer category.) And he holds himself so hi up because he won our local melee tournaments (lol 16 years sucked, the 1 good one he lost to in a practice match and he didnt fight him. Of course I did and I lost in the first round because of it.) Anyway, i could make a giant slowflake sized rant, but this isn't the place.

TL;DR
there's bullet seed code, my friend's a jerk, and i still cant get darkrai

Edit: Heh, things look a lot bigger before it's posted, anyway, I'll edit later to see if that bullet seed code works.

Edit2:it works, but you need access to crystal crossing

That's the exact code I was referring to. If it's the only one floating around at this point in time, Bullet Seed must be something rare. What I'm looking for is something that's in Amp Plains at the very farthest, including the first six unlockables, minus Steam Cave.

I checked, and I've got exactly two Pokés who can get Recycle: Chingling and Girafarig. Super. Oh well, at least I can recycle the Recycle TM if I ever want to give it to something else later on.

Edit: So apparently I can't recycle the Recycle TM. Fantastic.

Edit 2: I just read I can only meet Pichus at Amp Plains after beating Mystifying Forest, and also no Zapdos before then either. Could be beating Dialga too, but since the first thing I plan on doing after that is Mystifying Forest anyway, it doesn't really matter. But why no Pichus? Well, I may be wrong, but that's because the game doesn't want you grabbing the other starters before beating Dialga.
