I was already planning on buying it, because I had assumed it'd be given the FRLGE treatment with a gross amount of extra post-game content.

I didn't even like R/S all that much, for some reason, but the gym leader rematches plus Battle Frontier were enough to persuade me. FRLG on the other hand.. if you didn't like Red or Blue you probably wouldn't get into Pokemon in the first place. My only complaint with that game was the soundtrack, which was shat on, copiously.

And I thought I was the only one to think this. RBY's soundtrack WAS superior to FRLG's by a large margin, even with the bad sound quality and all.

RBY's soundtrack is superior to pretty much every other Pokémon game's, methinks.

But yeah, I'll be getting Opal. The precedent for third versions is just too good these days not to get it.
