Apparently, you have to import 999 Pokémon to get one. Tedious, but easily doable. It also gets Synthesis and Hypnosis... that last one should permanently shut down any doubt on whether it's uber or not.

By the way, the nature is random, so there's no being forced to use a crappy nature to use Hypnosis.

Edit: So I just read it already had Hypnosis as an event move. Shucks... well, at least it's readily accessible now. Synthesis I'm not too sure about. Excellent if there's sun, worthless if there's anything else... maybe it's better to stick to Softboiled for consistency.

Phione is also obtainable, BTW. Also with random nature.

Yeah, but it's too easy to get your hands on a Phione. Mew is where it's at.

In any case, this is a chance for me to get another Mew after my TRU one was erased on my friend's Emerald; it corrupted, he lost his carefully crossbred, egg move pokemon, I lost my Mew.

I think it had a good nature too....

Quiz question for those who weren't going to get Ranch: will you be willing to shell out whatever money it costs just to get a Mew? I'm not.

Of course, if you already needed the extra storage, good for you, you'll be getting more bang for your buck. But that Mew's being targeted at everyone else who wasn't going to get Ranch... clever strategy there. They had so many event Pokémon to begin with, letting go of one of them isn't a bad idea.

Honestly, a better way to target people would have been to make all the pokemon have special moves like in Pokemon XD. I mean, I already have a bold and modest Serene Grace Tri-Attack Togepi, but others want them to. Besides, who doesn't want a mixed pika with surf?

But yeah, those are lame pokes. Least they could of done was give us berries. My only hope is that this connects to WiiConnect24, so that it gets new downloadable pokes.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing too. Aside from Yanma and Shroomish (and of course Wynaut), every last obtainable Poké from Ranch could've used an extra move. Eevee in particular, since only two of its evolutions have a movepool that qualifies as interesting.

But let's face it, an easy Mew is far more marketable among the more casual Pokémon player than, say, Slack Off Lickitung.

Yeah, but considering there's zilch difference between Roost and Softboiled for a non-Flyer... then again, in-game Softboiled has a neato extra function, but that's all.
