I dont like Syclant. Its designed for OU in mind
and not for Pokemon as a whole. Its a broken creation
designed to become the new staple.
So this is my pokemon. I've had the ability idea in
mind for sometime now and finally gone ahead with it.
Bear with me - Im not that great at competitive. So it
may be broken- and if it is I want to fix it.
Pokedex Info: As their sightings are so rare,
few people actually believe this pokemon exists.
Its known to haunt old mansions and railways stations,
and takes pleasure in scaring those that cannot see it.
Has two forms, the first being similiar to the pre-silph
scope ghost, an unidentifable pokemon. Spektars true form
can be added to the pokedex by using Odor Sleuth or
Foresight and seeing its true form. Also cannnot be captured
without seeing its true form in battle ( as the pokeball
would miss )
Weight??
Height3.8ft
BST : 70/80/30/75/30/95 Total:380
Ability: Haunt
The user loses its GHOST-type immunities,
but gains an immunity to physical attacks.
Explanation: Spektar no longer has the 0x modifier
for Normal and Fighting moves, instead blocks all
direct damage from physical moves ( other effects
still apply ). This means moves like Hyper Beam,
Focus Blast and the like will hit. This ability can
be nullified by the use of Odor Sleuth, Foresight,
and is still affected by Lock On and Mind Reader.
Is still affected by entry hazards.
Cannot be Skill Swapped.

And I know the movepool isnt great, and stuff like
Focus Punch isnt in there for obvious reasons,
but suggestions would be nice :) I dont want to make
it broken.
We can start with the fact that the ability is...incredibly broken. Invincibility to every physical move ever, at the minor cost of being vulnerable to Tri-Attack and Aura Sphere/Focus Blast? This ends up forcing Physical Pokemon to either go out of style completely, or use their for the most part low Special Attack stat to attack Spektar. Thus, you pretty much kill off a huge amount of the metagame. Can you say, Spekbliss? Since Blissey is still pretty much invincible to any sort of Special Attacks, and the same with Spektar with Physical...
Foresight and the like are a lot less common than you think. It might see some use on a handful of gimmick sets to counter Spektar...but that's what we'd call overcentralization. Moreover, the movepool looks ridiculously good. Its immunity allows it to switch in incredibly easy and force them to switch out, and I literally mean force. There, he could start a myriad of things. Maybe Calm Mind, for some Special Defense boosts? Maybe Swords Dance, for Shadow Sneak'd ownage? Maybe some Mean Look, and then switch to a counter?
Mainly that last one. If they foolishly sent out a Special Sweeper, punish them with Blissey. If they sent out the slightly smarter Mixed Sweeper, punish them otherwise. The point is that with Spektar, Physical Sweepers will die out or be forced to start using gimmick moves to hurt Spektar, and that's just no good.
