We made the switch to this new beta site about four months ago. In that time, we can admit that yes, activity has slowed down a bit. Some of you may proclaim that this site is "dead". I am posting this topic to tell all of you that that is not true, and why that is not true.

First of all, I will remind all of you that this is a beta site, and a transitional phase for TLF. Since the site has been released, nearly all initial bugs have been fixed, save for a few broken links that still linger. More on them later. It's going to take a bit more time to get things working smoothly again. Until then, the forums work well.

The recent reopening of the analyses slowed down activity a bit, too. We are working on converting the analyses to an HTML format so that they may posted on the main site. Until then, there are still a few analyses that need to be completed, for anyone who feels up to the task. There is no shortage of intelligent users here who are able to make quality, usable sets.

Now, then, I present the signs of hope in the future. As you may have noticed, Libelldra's Pokedex link has been working. Also, the Chatroom link will take you directly to a jIRC client to join our #libelldra IRC channel. The Analyses will temporarily link you to the forum topic for each Pokemon until we convert the Analyses to HTML. We are currently at work on an IV Calculator, and we are finishing up a Stat Calculator, as well as a Damage Calculator that is one of the most accurate and user-friendly available anywhere. These tools will be added to the site as soon as they are ready for use. We plan to turn Libelldra into a major resource center with quality analyses and useful tools, as well as an IRC channel that is nearly always active.

I hope you do not think this site is dead; it is in fact far from it. All in all, though, the life of Libelldra comes from the intelligent, meaningful discussions among its users. This site has a lot of potential, and so it is time for all of us to bring it out.

Well said, Ruesap. And definitely come to IRC; it's a lively place. (Contrary to popular belief, the channel is not dead if ten seconds elapse without anyone saying anything.)

Well said Ruesap. As Iggy said, the IRC chat is far from dead (But I guess mainly because BA hasn't shown up in a while). Polite is working as best as he can on the site, and unlike some of us, he actually has a job, a wife, a baby, and other countless objects that prevent him from fixing the remainder of the site.
So yeah, TLF rocks and you people should be more active.

Well, I can say that up until this last month, we really have been dead, aside from the occasional update or two. But seriously, we have been relatively busy this past month. The IRC has been as active as ever, or not. I don't know, but it's active unless you go there at midnight PST. </obligatory go to IRC message>

I've been a part of the irc community for the past 2 months now, and I can definitely attest to the fact that it is, indeed, bustling with activity for the majority of the day.
