A long while back I felt a little rush of creativity and created a Pokemon, a three-stage evolution set complete with a handful of new traits and moves.
The point of this creation, however, was to show (and as I was making it, educating myself) at just how broken something can be without going far beyond the confines of the game that Game Freak already set. I'm talking specifically about BSTs. Dragonite and Metagross for instance sit at a comfy 600, and while they're very good in their own right they aren't remotely cheap. Their stat spreads are attentive to every stat, however, ones that most sets hardly if ever use. By completely forsaking a "useless" stat, for most things that being an offense or speed, you'd be surprised how much surplus you're left with...
If you bother to read further, and actually read and not skim, you'll definitely notice a level of almost ridiculous excess, though I did make an effort to give most things balance on paper. I didn't throw every fucking good move in the book its way just so it can have unmatched coverage against any bloody thing it wants to.
If nothing else, here's hoping I can get a few "hey, that sounds neat" for the amount of detail I put. Methinks I'll have to explain my reasoning behind a thing or three, but that can come later.

(Gelimite)
Strange Jelly Pokemon
Ht: 9" Wt: 7 lbs
It was created by scientists trying to animate a watery solution with electricity and then cloned. They interact with each other and their surroundings but their ability to store and recall data needs improvement.
(Gelimack)
Bouncy Jelly Pokemon
Ht: 2'03" Wt: 33 lbs
These formed when Gelimites learned to combine and alter their amorphous bodies, and as such it is capable of delivering a much more painful shock. It prefers to sit or bounce on its hand than to get actual use out of it.
(Gelitamorb)
Bulbous Hands Pokemon
Ht: 3'11" Wt: 87 lbs
Merging continued and eventually formed this monstrous blob. It loves stretching its giant hands and squeezing anything it can reach. Its eyes never blink or move, so its electric shocks come without warning when provoked.
Genders: Genderless
Traits:
Null & Void: Randomly disables elements when in play.
Stoplight: Causes paralysis when attacked on consecutive turns.
Burst: Passes damage from pressure and extreme heat onto foes.
Moldy Goo: Becomes one with poison and its effects permanently.
Adhesive: Direct attacks may prevent withdrawing.
New Flavor: Absorbs attacks when used consecutively.
Trait effects:
Null & Void: When Pokemon is sent into battle, chooses a type from the opponent's moveset and shuts it off, granting immunity to that type. Only moves with a base power are affected. Cannot disable Normal type. Cannot be Skill Swapped.
Stoplight: The opponent will become paralyzed if the Pokemon sustains damage from offensive moves three consecutive turns. Pokemon must survive third attack.
Burst: Supereffective and Fire type moves inflict 1/3 recoil damage on the user. Damage sustained from burns is passed on at 1.0x. Sunlight and Fire type moves have 100% accuracy and burn rate. Opponent alerted to trait at start of battle. "Gelimite is about to burst!"
Moldy Goo: When Pokemon is inflicted with poisoned or badly poisoned status, its type becomes Poison for the battle's duration and its HP is restored to max. Moves that make direct contact with Pokemon carry penalty of 30% bad poisoning rate. Also carries Liquid Ooze leeching penalty. Black Sludge automatically induces effects.
Adhesive: Whenever an attack that makes physical contact is used by either the Pokemon with this trait or its opponent, there is a 50% chance of trapping the foe without the trait. Effect removed by Rapid Spin and attacks of Water or Poison types. Will not work if both Pokemon have this trait.
New Flavor: Offensive moves of the same type used consecutively against Pokemon with this trait will restore 1/5th the target's HP rather than inflict damage. Effect ends once damage is sustained from a move of a different type. Cannot be Skill Swapped.

Static Field
Pow: ---
Acc: ---
Type: Electric (Other)
PP: 5
Descrip: The user sacrifices itself to place the foe's side under a field of electricity, paralyzing any weakened foe that enters it.
Effect: User faints and the foe's area is permanently charged with weak electricity, paralyzing anything that enters that isn't Electric or Ground type, or at full health. Cannot coexist with any form of spikes. Removed if anything with Lightningrod or Volt Absorb enters.
Wave Slicer
Pow: 70
Acc: ---
Type: Water (Physical)
PP: 15

Plasma
Pow: 150
Acc: 100

--------------
Heheh. I'm sure Burst looks cheap, but I don't think I need to explain my reasoning behind it; Moldy Goo, however. I firmly believe that mono-poison (minus the Levitate, Weezing) is the crappiest type in the game and quite the sacrifice for this guy, forsaking all of its STAB and giving it nothing but a Toxic knockoff of Static/Effect Spore and a deterrent to Leech Seed. This is also why I convinced myself that the full HP restore was not completely a douchebag move.
I look forward to explaining my rationale behind a lot of things, provided it isn't simply asking why I made its base stats look like a Cresselia evolution.
