Do you know of a pokemon that absolutely needs a move/effect it doesn't have? If so post it here.

Well I decided I might as well do Sandslash.

I like Sloflakes Base Stats so I'll post them and edit them a wee bit:

HP: 70 --> 80

A nice Base HP is what I ask for, he has the Defence.

Atk: 100 --> 115 Atk

That makes it, IIRC, the Ground type with the sixth or seventh highest Attack stat, including Thick Club Wak. It only beats Hippopowdon by 3, so no complaining.

Def: 110 --> 115

Plus 5 boost is fine for a ground type.

SpAtk: 40

Well it's useless.

SpDef: 55 --> 75

It's not as bad as Garchomp...

Spd: 65 --> 105

The second fastest Ground? Yes, please.

BST: 530, sitting comfortably up there with Infernape and the like.

Overall, what's happened is that instead of being a Defensive Rapid Spinner with a great Atk and mediocre/decent movepool. It's become a fast tank, capable of some sort of set-up.

As for it's movepool:

It will get all three fangs (or maybe punches, it learns Focus Punch...), and well that's it. It gets SD, X-Scissor, Night Slash and EdgeQuake.

And abilities:

Spike Gather: This means that upon entry all Spikes (but not SR), is collected by Sandslash and gathered onto its back. Well, it is a Hedgehog...

Pinball: And speaking of Hedgehogs, Sandslash gathers momentum as he rolls into a ball. This means that when uing the same attack in a row it's damage output is multiplied by 1.1

Mmmm. Hook Forretress and Donphan up with that, they've still got only one trait.

Well it's only one idea, but here goes. I was thinking of this one move for Steel type pokemon.

Fossil Finder-(O.K the names not very original, but here's the effect)Rock:Status- Similar to Yawn; A two-turn move that slows the opponent speed (by 1/3) the first turn; then converts the opponent's pokemons type or types into rock type for the second turn. At the begining of the third turn the pokemon's type and speed return to normal.

I figured that this move would be help make steel type offensive moves effective for use in competitive battles.

In doing so you'd have to limit it to things with Iron Head, because Gyro Ball would be nerfed beyond belief by the speed cut.

As it stands, it takes things as fast as Aerodactyl to assuredly max out Gyro Ball's power.

Time to work my sexy monkey magic.

ROTOM: You've all heard me talk about him. He's a cool critter, and deserves more as a kind-of-but-not-really legendary. Like, say, a signature move.

Volt Pulse:
80 BP, Special, Electric Type move. Always goes first. In essence, it's an Extremespeed for Rotom.

And a few other moves, like Psychic, ExtraSensory, Signal Beam, and Flash Cannon, and maybe Hypnosis. This is fitting for an Electric/Ghost type, right?

Now then let's boost his Base Spatk and Speed to 125, and he'll be usable. Maybe still outclassed, but usable.
