Yes, we have this introductions forum, but how much do people really say about themselves? This thread is basically the same thing as Smogon's "Explain Yourself" This thread is for you to really post and tell people about yourself, in detail. We don't want to know your favorite pokemon, or where you are on the leaderboard or anything like that. Putting a paragraph about pokemon is fine, but this topic is ment for much more then that. So, as the creator, I'll start.
My name's Cody. I'm 16, and I live in upstate New York. I'll turn 17 in about 4 months (May 1st). I live in the country (inbetween 2 farms) and it's alright, though I could definatly deal with living in a suburb. My entire immediate family lives right close to me, and they're a big part of my life. I'm about 1/4 (25% for you statistical people) dutch and I'm very proud of my heritage, even though I don't express it much. I'm about 5'5" tall, and I take a lot of crap for my height in school, though it doesn't bother me much. Socially, I'm the guy that all the girls are best friends with, but just can't seem to get a girlfriend. And no, I'm not gay. I figure everything will fall into place eventually though, so I'm not really bothered by it. I feel that I am easy to talk to, and enjoy talking to people about personal things, no matter what it is.
As far as sports goes, I used to play soccer, but now I enjoy wrestling and MMA (mixed martial arts). I wrestle on the varsity team for my high school at 130 lbs. I study martial arts with one of my gym coaches, who also enjoys fighting, like UFC, only amateur fights. He's a really cool guy who I look up to. I also enjoy weight training and running, unlike most of the other kids in my school. I've worked to get my body into great shape, and I plan on maintaining it.
While I happen to do quite a bit sports-wise, my true calling is music. I'm an avid pianist and percussionist and I love playing music. In the past I've also played trombone, french horn and baritone. I'm also learning alto saxophone from one of my friends in exchange for giving her piano lessons. I drum in 2 bands and am developing my own unique style of drumming. My biggest influences have to be Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Neil Peart (Rush). All 3 are amazing musicians and are the driving force behind 3 of my favorite bands. I hope to major in music in college, and open up my own music store someday.
As far as pokemon goes, I started playing Red in 3rd grade when it came out, and have since then played every generation. I did't actually get into (or know about) competitave battling until the summer of 2007. I immediatly sumberged myself into the ever evolving metagame of D/P and caught on quickly. I originally visted GameFAQ's, and that's where I found Libelldra. I am now a member of Libelldra and Smogon, and do what I can to contribute to both sites. My nicks on Shoddy Battle are IggyBot, IggyBot2 and Indalecio. Let me know who are you before you challenge me though, I hardly ever accept random challenges.

You know, I swear we had a topic like this back in the Gathering Grounds.
Time to retell it but much, much shorter. So, my name is Roy. 18 years old, and 19 on March 21st. And that's one day after Ruesap's birthday. </useless trivia> I live in Cupertino, and it appears I've prematurely ended my tag because apparently that's the city Katsu happens to live in too. I'm six foot something, I don't really remember. I'm in decent shape, no bodybuilder but I'm not fat or anything. I don't have a girlfriend and never had. Yes, I'm straight. It's more of a thing called "too goddamn busy".
With schoolwork and the internet, of course. And I procrastinate like no ****ing tomorrow. Master procrastinating machine, but I still manage to get through fine. I'm 100% Chinese, and yes, I speak some Chinese, but I've gotten really really rusty now. I mean, hell, at some point in my life, I forgot what some of the numbers in Chinese look like. That's saying something. Anyways, sports? Bah. Music? I played violin at one point...but then I said screw it and in the end, it's a bah. A social life outside of the internet? Oh, yes, I have that, at least.
Of course, since I'm such a nerd, I can really only talk about...well, Pokemon I guess. I think I got Red...at around 10 or 9? I don't quite remember anymore. My fondest memories of it was obviously trying to get the Mew under the truck and getting Missingno. Man, Missingno. kicked ass. And then I got Gold. My fondest memories of Gold? Trying to transfer Missingno. I actually don't remember the results (lol at me), but I remember going wtf nuuu what happened missingno. nuuuu.
And then I went through that "pokemon is for children" phase during RSE. So long, third generation. And then I got Diamond. Holy hell, look at where I am now. I'm...in the competitive community now? Dear god, I never thought things would ever come down to this, and I think I'm going to be staying here for a long, long time. Oh, right, because I'm supposedly a mod here. But I actually haven't been able to do anything at all. =/ Hell, I don't even know why I was even needed, at this time, but I better shut my mouth before I get demoted...
Yeah, that's just a notice to those who don't know. Anyways, oh snap, did I just post TWO paragraphs of Pokemon? Yes, I think I did. So I'm going to go a little off track of the point of this topic, but in the end, I guess it'll help show my true character. On some faithful day on September, user KiteDXX announced over IRC something involving RPG Maker XP. "Hmm, RPG Maker XP, eh? Why not!" And so it happened. I've officially sucked myself into a vortex of endless tasks and extreme procrastination.
And to this day, I still haven't even started on the actual game itself since I've been so absorbed in programming the battle system, developing the story (and, well even the goddamn sequel's story), schoolwork, and procrastinating. But it's turning out rather nicely, better than I expected myself to do. And to be quite honest, I'm actually considering ditching the first game's concept in favor of the second, but I really have to present every other aspect of the second game for it to be effective. The more important thing is that I've really taken my hobby, programming, to a new level now. And...well, I don't know how it's going to unfold from here.

Hi, my name is Marc, and I'm a 13 year old kid that's currently living in Canada. I come from French and Irish parents, and am currently living in Toronto, although I did live in France (Lyon) for 3 years of my life. I am Gifted, Asthmatic, and wear glasses. (Geek much?)
The only two sporty things I've ever really kept up with are Tennis, and Tae Kwon Do. Tennis is a strange thing for me. I get an extra boost any time I play it, and when I play it, I play well. I'm around the same level as a friend of mine, who's ranked 74th in Ontario. I'm pretty good. I teach tennis twice a week, and play it 4 times as well. I'm just addicted to it.
Tae Kwon Do is more of my dad forcing me, but I still enjoy it. I'm a first degree black belt, and have been working on it for at least 7 years. I've won multiple medals in tournaments, and have at least been knocked out cold once in a tourney.
Possibly my favorite past time right now is Programming (fuck you fantasty). I'm currently learning how to use MySQL and PHP in unisen, and have had past experiences with Javascript, CSS, XHTML, and mIRC scripting. Programming is just amazing for me, and it may be one of the front runners for jobs later on in my life. I still have a while to think about it though. I'm not even High School.

Contrary to popular belief, I am, in fact, black (I don't know why so many people doubt it when I say that...). I'm a pretty scrawny guy, being 5'7" and only 117lbs (all muscle), and not very photogenic, to put it euphemistically. As of now, I have no job or girlfriend. As for my sexuality...well, I'm gonna have to get back to you on that one. >_>
While I am working on it, my social life is pretty bleh. Quite honestly, I didn't even start opening up until high school and as a result, I really don't have that many friends, but I'm not the guy everyone hates anymore. I don't really do any school activities besides Newspaper, don't belong to any clubs, and don't have a job. I really hate sports, and haven't done anything with music since I quit Band after freshman year. I run the "advance class" gambit, but, really, all the classes seem like a joke to me (except AP Chemistry. Oh, God...).
I don't really have that many skills besides cooking and BSing essays, but I'm really interested in writing. I'm not all that great at it, but nonetheless I'm working at it in hopes that, one day, I will be a novelist (yeah, I know it's extravagant, but a guy can dream, can't he?). I've written a few poems and short stories, and am working on a new one to submit to this high school writing competition we have going on.
Oh, about pokemon. I got started with Red for my--what was it--7th or 8th birthday? Afterwards, I played GSC, but never had anyone to play with besides my brother. I lapsed on getting Emerald until '06 since I kinda lost interest in the series (whole "Pokemon is gay" phase), and didn't get into competitive battling until I got D/P in April, mostly because I had access to people I could battle now. It took awhile to get past my initial noobishness, but now I think I've got this whole competitive battling thing down (although I could still be a lot better).
Oh, and if you haven't guessed, I am morbidly pessimistic. And yes, I am a furry. >_>

Well, my real name is Matt and I'm 14.... 15 in June. I live in Southern California and it kicks ass down here :P. As of now, I'm a freshman in high school.... taking 3 advanced classes, lol >__>. Socially, I LOVE school and talking to people, Ive ditched classes just to chat with my friends xDD.
I could basically say that having attention is the greatest thing in the world :P. I'm my school sports mascot (hanging with cheerleaders FTW!), and waiting for the first Track meeting on the 10th (to compete... not to mascot lol). I go to every play audition at my school (my last play was The Outsiders, and it was my favorite one :D), and school dances are insanely badass. If I was in a social subculture, I'd definately be a scene kid :3. And no... I'm not ADD O__O. Or emo, Ive been called that lol xD
I love music. Like.... LOVE music. I have an ancient, crusty 1gig Sansa mp3... but I always find ways to leech music for myself :P. I'll listen to anything (yes... even country when I feel like it >__<), but my favorite bands as of now are Bullet for my Valentine, System of a Down, Nightwish, Rise Against, and Disturbed. I am Lutheran, btw.. which is a denomonation of Protestantism. God is ftw, chyeah <3? The screenname JellyDemon did NOT come from Satan, contrary to popular belief, lol D:. It's an extremely long inside joke between my brother and I :P.
Haloween is my favorite holiday ever, I make my own weird, incredibly unique costumes :3. 2 years ago I was Microsoft Sam (cant find pics T__T, I made a full computer monitor facemask and a keyboard bling in a suit. It was so badass) and this year I was BOXIMUS PRIME!!!
Drawing is another one of my favorite things do to :3. Well.... sorta. Actually... not really. I take that back, drawing sucks ass. COMPUTER ART is what I love doing :3. I tried to keep an album of it going but it got so full I stopped lol. Microsoft paint... too much win in that little program :3. I made my avatar, btw :D.
I'm 5'10'' and 140 pounds, and I run a really minimal workout routine. For 3 years I played soccer. OH YEAH, and I'm a Caucasian GUY for a lot of people who were wondering... many people think I'm a girl for some reason ~__O. Probably because ":]" is such a feminine smiley, I stole it from my friend over AIM. I'm soooo devious.....
I live with both of my parents, and I have an older brother and a younger sister. My relationship status as of now is pretty much in Purgatory, lol >__>. Asked a girl out to our Winter Formal on Saturday, felt awkward about it... and I've been sick since with Pneumonia, so Ive never had a chance to talk about it, and I'll bet she thinks I'm ignoring her lol. OWNT much >__<? Relationships are so FTL D:
Gamingwise, I'm a Nintendo fanboy lol :P. I still have my first Gameboy-Color that Ive had since I was 5, and my first game was Pokemon Pinball (CwutIdidthar O__O). My bro had Pokemon Red... so we switched :P. Ever since, I was always more of a Pokemon fanatic then him, lmao xDDD. I'm counting down the days until SSBB comes out, and I'm absolutely devastated that Mewtwo isnt in it (no main for me :(..). Venomoth is the coolest Poke ever :D. Ive played RuneScape since 2004, but Ive quit due to the craptacular economy and the death of PKing :/.
And thats just about it :]. Im a total n00b at codes and stuff... so I'll just post some links :P

Yeah, even in school I capitalize and bold random stuff, and randomly switch pen colors. I find it keeps people reading, lol :P. Even me O___O
