It was a typical Sunday afternoon, full of boredom and idleness, until Ruesap broke the monotony with his story, a summary of which would be something like this: Ruesap claimed that the previous night, he read a topic wherein a troll boasted that he had created "an ultimate Arceus". In response, he began boasting about his own ultimate Mewtwo and eventually posted a fabricated battle between him and the troll. Ruesap claimed to have lost, but everyone believed him to be an alt of the troll. Thus, to prove this, he was challenged by one IceCubeDude, allegedly a "battle board bigshot", who forfeited after losing two Pokémon. IceCubeDude returned the favor using five FEARs and a Froslass, ultimately leading to Ruesap's loss, as he could not OHKO Froslass.
Concluding his story, Ruesap opened the floor to challengers, so long as the following rules were respected:
Dark, Bug and Ghost moves may not be used, nor may Pokémon of those types.
Mewtwo must be faster in all turns.
Focus Sash is not permitted.
Übers are not allowed.
And it was with little doubt that Ruesap managed to amass 386 consecutive victories (so he claimed), adding about 100 with each victory he gained. It was then when I declared my interest in battling him. However, I too had a list of conditions:
Ruesap loses as soon as Mewtwo faints.
Ruesap must lead with Mewtwo.
He agreed to my conditions and I went off to throw together a random team of three Grumpigs, a Blissey and two Bulbasaur. My initial plan was to hope he would use an attack on Grumpig and I would
Mirror Coat it to death. This however, did not go as planned, and I soon found myself in the very same trap the others did:
<Ruesap> i just 101subowned Iggy_Koopa
When my Blissey was one-shotted, I sobered up to the reality that my plan was flawed after all (which involved a minimum special defense Blissey that used a
Rowap Berry—don't ask). As a result, I bought some time by switching in the Bulbasaurs and a Grumpig. I used some random moves (such as
Trick Room and
Magic Coat, the latter of which I had clumsily added by accident, my clumsiness which I attribute to my not having slept at all within the past twenty-four hours).
I switched in my second to last Grumpig and decided to take the last few turns to toy around a bit and play a switching game. Needless to say, my other Grumpig suffered the fate of those before him, but this opened up an opportunity.
I sent out my Grumpig and paused. I realized that if I made a move, it would be a sure loss—I would have little chance for vengeance in the future. I looked at my Grumpig's Sitrus Berry and then switched my tab to the chatbox.
I confessed to my opponent that I had mistakingly placed a Focus Sash on my Grumpig. Surprisingly, he believed me and let me go, allowing me a rematch. He declared himself the victor. "Good game, Iggy Koopa," he said to me afterward. "You fought valiantly, but in the end, you were a noob."
After my battle, it seemed that he had defeated all the willing challengers already, and proceeded to fiddle around with a home-made coffee machine of his. In the mean time, I headed off to concoct a new team. By the time I was done, he was just about to head out.
"Ruesap, wait," I shouted after him, "I want the rematch right now."
"What?" he asked, somewhat taken aback. But he accepted.
My Team:

His Team:

Ruesap sent out Mewtwo (lvl 100 Mewtwo).
Potted Breloom sent out Hubris (lvl 100 Smeargle ?).
Mewtwo is exerting its pressure!
Mewtwo used Substitute.
Mewtwo lost 25% of its health.
Mewtwo made a substitute!
Hubris used Imprison.
Hubris sealed the opponents move(s)
Mewtwo's leftovers restored its health a little!
Mewtwo restored 6% of its health.
As you can see, I did not spend my time idle after the previous match. I carefully analyzed Mewtwo's moveset and began to design a team that would make the "ultimate" moveset he made be his own downfall. It was not until the last minute that I decided to throw in Smeargle and I am glad I did.
While I made my move decision swiftly, I noticed my opponent took some time to pick a move. After sometime, he gasped. Perhaps it dawned upon him that Hubris's move did exactly what it said it did—it imprisoned him.

And in the end, Hubris was Ruesap's downfall.
The Good:
I 6-0'd his team with a Smeargle while using a move which all his Pokémon resisted.
I successfully proved that his Mewtwo was not invincible.
