It is indeed Thanksgiving, and we all have to sit down in a table and say what we're thankful for before digging in. So, let's hear it.

I'm thankful that me and my good friends have good families.

I'm also thankful that I have somewhere to live.

I'm thankful for not being American, so I don't have to engage in what is basically the verbal equivalent of being touchy-feely. And I'm not a very huggy person, so...

Ah, I kid, I kid.

My parents tell me all the time I should be thankful for being born in a country where poverty and dictatorship and the whole shebang aren't problems, so I guess that, yeah. Even though those damn snowstorms are getting on my nerves, and we're not even done with November yet... but I'm thankful we have snowstorms and not tornadoes and hurricanes and floods and so on. Funny how the cookie crumbles. (Still, I'd much rather be someplace like Vancouver, where winters are warmer and you don't burn to a crisp during summer [yes, summers are scalding hot here, pick up those jaws].)

lol canada

I'm also grateful that I don't have to freeze my ass off shoveling snow, thanks to the Arizona weather. Instead, I get blistering heat. Which Canada apparently gets as well.
