This sub-forum was made because this board could use some more livening up, and what is better than music at achieving that?

If you have a song of your own you would like to post here, please follow the guidelines that are being explained below:

1) Pick a title that somehow gives the users an idea of what to expect from your topic. Don't just simply put "My favorites" as a topic title; it's appreciated if you include the genre or the singer/band at least. It's perfectly fine if you say "My favorites, all from [insert band/singer here]." You can put "My favorites" as a topic title alone though, but only if you somehow elaborate in the topic description.

2) Songs can only be videos from the internet, which means, you should search for your song on either youtube.com or another large database of videos. Youtube has most, if not every song in existence, so as long as you know the title or singer/band, it shouldn't be too hard to find the song you'd like to put here. If you want to include a video in your post, do it as follows:
Make sure to include the name of the song and the name of the singer/band above each video. It would be nice if you could write down a sentence (or more than one, there is no limit really) about the song or clip itself.
To actually put your video here, you should find the "embed" tags of your video first. To take youtube.com as an example, the tags of the video can usually be found just below it. Copy/paste this entire code into your post and surround that code with doHTML tags.
To embed a video using doHTML tags, type the following (take out the spaces in the EMBED tags): [ EMBED ] embed code here [ /EMBED ]

3) The most important thing of all: this is a music forum. This means that even though we're saying that you should post the videos of the songs, we do not want videos from random things that have absolutely nothing to do with music. To avoid yourself from breaking these rules, just make sure you search for the title or singer/band on a site and check the videos that come up yourself before posting them here. If it's a clip of the song you wanted to post, go ahead and post it. If not, don't.

4) Check your clips before posting them. This means that you have verified that there is no visual content in the video you're posting that is in conflict with the rules of this site. If there is such content, further actions against the original poster of that video will be taken; it is completely your own responsibility to make sure that the content of the video is not in conflict with the rules of this site.

5) Swearing in songs is allowed. We won't delete your songs if they contain one or more of the words we've banned on this site. However, make sure that your song isn't just swearing, with no actual text other than that. If you want an example of something that we will delete, look up Eric Prydz' Call On Me, and replace every "call" with one of the words we've decided to ban. If your song sounds like that, you're really crossing the line.

That's about all. All sorts of music are allowed here, since we'd like this forum to be varied. Don't back out just because you think your musical taste is different from anyone else's, we'd like as many different songs as possible here.

Thanks for hearing me out. Have fun here.
