Any demonoid members here? I've been trying for ages to get into that place but to no avail. I always seem to miss when they have an open window for registration. I'm hoping that out of the hundreds of members at TLF, someone is a demonoid member and that they will be kind enough to e-mail me an invitation code. I can't stand this waiting any longer!! For some odd reason, the first person that came to mind when I thought of possible demonoid members at TLF, was TPX_Vengeance....>_> He seems like the sort of guy that would have access to a place like that. Anyhoo, it doesn't matter who helps me out as long as someone can.
Demonoid supposedly opens registration for a couple of days at the beginning of each new month so I'll be keeping an extra sharp lookout this week. I suggest you do the same if no one here comes to our aid. There are a lot of torrent sites out there that have just as good content as demonoid, but the big difference is in the health of the torrents. They have a very strict seeding policy there that leads to very healthy torrents and fast downloads compared to the other torrent sites.

I'll try my best to explain correctly. Its like an ocean of data belonging to a group of people and can be a movie, music file etc.. When you download a movie torrent for example, you get pieces of data coming from all the people who seed the torrent (seeders - the people who share their pieces of data with others) and it allows for information to get much faster to you than if you downloaded the movie by yourself from something like limewire or some other means. I managed to download the entire DBZ anime series in less than a week using a torrent and my internet connection isn't anything special. It would have taken far, far longer to download something of that magnitude through other means.
I'm trying to get a working keygen for Photoshop CS3. Demonoid has one. However, thats only the immediate reason. I still want to become a member of demonoid regardless. I have been trying to get in there for a while now but no luck so far. This week I could get lucky (if I don't get an invite first), cause supposedly they open the window for registration at the beginning of each month for a couple days. Like I said before, other torrent sites have just as good content, but torrent health is often an issue. Demonoid has no such issues because of the strict nature of the site.
Well I hope chewman hasn't forgotten about me (hopefully when he gets through with his password etc for this site he will show up). I have less than a month left to join demonoid before my CS3 trial expires. After that I would have to go through a lot more trouble to get what I want.

Hey, I vaguely remembered the name and checked. Using Weremidget and my usual password. Turns out I do indeed have an account there. How do I go about sending an invitation code? I could probably work it out myself but I'm busy trying to find a decent download of 300.
^That would be lovely. High Dragoon has been helping me out a lot -- her brother has an account there and gave her his last invite so she's (very generously)letting me use her new account for now. I've gotten some very useful downloads that I wanted for a long time. However, the problem is that you can't generate invitation codes on new accounts so she can't send me one, therefore I can't get my own account yet. If you have that feature on your account, I would be very grateful for an invitation. I have only made (relatively) small downloads using Dragoon's account but I have some massive downloads that I want to make. Demonoid is excellent for such big tasks because all the torrents there are very healthy -- I managed to achieve much faster torrent download speeds than I ever have before. I don't want to make such ambitious moves using someone else's account though - I would be rather uncomfortable doing that seeing as how these downloads will take a few days to complete, even at high speeds. I don't want to give Dragoon a poor ratio on her account (its already not very good cause my upload speeds are much slower than my download speeds). Thats why I haven't downloaded anything really massive using her account.
Forget about the whole thing. To my utter shock and dismay, I went to demonoid today and saw this message:

Isohunt.com is an index site for torrents (don't join the chat and forums though. They're a bunch of hypocrits. They think that since their don't sponser torrents, that what they're doing is legal. Does that mean that its legal for someone to sponsor terrorism?

^Nice to see you here. I already know about all those sites. I used to use Piratebay and Mininova when I first started using torrents. The difference between Demonoid and those is the health of most of the torrents - the seeding to leeching ratio there is usually very high so you can download your stuff fast. When I used your account to get some stuff I achieved far greater download speeds than ever before on the other sites. Demonoid HAS to come back!!!
