In GFaqs, everyone Fawns over Typhlosion?

Its sort of cool looking,
But is useless OU and sometimes BL.

The GFaqers are doing something smart for once then. Scarflyphlosion can Rip through teams that are not prepared for them. Never say it is OU or BL because one day you might get swept by one.

Bah, I already have an army of Pokemon that thinks the sky is red.

On topic, Scarflosion is a massive threat. Don't take it lightly or you will regret it.

On the other hand, anyone with the least bit of skill should be prepared for one. The moment it takes any sort of significant damage, be it from Stealth Rock or something else, it's useless. One is usually better served by BL/OU Fires, since they can perform equally at all times until they die.

Now, I'd expect it to rock in n00b vs. n00b battles, especially taking into account GameFAQs' population basin (which I believe was the point Baltarded was trying to make), but if your opponent knows what he's doing, you're better off using something else.

So, how was it? I tried once a few times, and when pit against good players it's like trying to take a bite out of a boulder.

It REALLY is one of those Pok?mon whose output depends on how good the players are, though unlike Tyranitar said output goes down as the skill level goes up.

Well it really depends oh how good you are, and if things like SR are up or toxic and whut not.

A CS Eruption first turn seems pretty dangerous in doubles to anything that doesn't resist it (and it's not like people usually carry around Heatran, Arcanine, Blissey, etc. on doubles teams), but I've never used it, so I don't know how effective it would honestly be.

I don't see how CSTyphlosion could be that effective in singles, though; seems like you'd get forced to switch a lot, but...

Meh. I ran CS Eruption Typholsion. It sucks. Put it that way. Yes, I almost always got a hit in, but when I didn't OHKO something, they usually hit me, ruining 1 of my 6 poke. So basically, it's a slot waster.

Be a man, use specs. At least, it caught 10 people off-guard on Shoddy.

Specs is viable, since it's pretty fast for UU. I think.

Getting it at low health is ok, since you can use Overheat(and Blaze activating helps). I was more disappointed when my Adaptability Tri-Attack Porygon Z couldn't even kill that much. I mean, wtf. The thing has 405 Sp. Attack and a super STAB attack and it's still weak as crap.

Download works better then Adaptability. Except it's situational so depending on what situation your in, you could get screwed over on the ability.

Download's just a little too much of a coin toss for my liking. Extra power on all your moves if the opponent's defense is higher, but you get absolutely nothing if the opponent's SD is higher. Meanwhile, Adaptibility gets extra power on your strongest move - although said move has zero type coverage. I don't like Download personally, but I can see the potential, and in fact I'm surprised no one uses it. Remember when Shoddy was still in the early stages and Download was the only ability PZ had? Oh the complaining.

I personally use Download over Adaptability. But I see what you mean Slowflake. Although I wasn't there when Shoddy was in it's early stages.

Well, Adaptibility ain't what it's cracked up to be. Though it seems much better for a hit and run Scarfer like Porygon Z, it couldn't even KO a damn Salamence. I had to rely on luck hax to kill it(which I HATE).
