I'm a bit sad that COs like Max, Sami, Kanbei, Jess and Eagle won't be in the game anymore, but on the other hand, I like the idea of completely starting over again.
I am SO glad they took out the Tag Powers and decided to make some of the CO powers less broken. They made the entire game less fun, especially those Tag Powers everywhere. Things like Colin and Kanbei, even though they didn't have any extra power boosts when combined together, were just not fun to face.
Now that this game will have WiFi capabilities, I may finally start picking up this game in a really competitive way. I've only really played it for fun so far with the occasional battle with my friend, so WiFi sounds really awesome to me.
I'm surprised they kicked up the price for an Infantry though. I'm really used to being able to buy them for only 1k.
I'm really starting to get excited about this game, can't wait to import it!

It sounds like they've jacked up the price of infantry because of the meat shield strategy (part of what made Grit uber-broken). Infantry will most likely just be used at the beginning of a game to capture nearby cities; Motorbikes outclass Infantry in movement and Bazookas (Mechs) outclass them in power.
As I have the game now, I'll give my thoughts on it.
The story is definetly darker, and the characters fit the game's overall mood. The new units are balanced along with the returning ones, as they all have a reasonable counter now. A few of the modes from AW:DS were taken out, and in their place is a bigger design room and war room(now in campaign mode). I have yet to go on Wi-Fi, but from what I know, you can have random battles on random maps with people around the globe as well as upload maps to a server(up to 10x10).
