...Some of you may recognise it as a rip-off of DemigodXYZ's avatar, but I thought it might be a nice easy place to start. Spliced in the wings and recoloured red.

So, tips? How do you make them not have a background? Any requests for something else to try?

Thanks in advance.

It's actually pretty good, next time try not to cut off part of the wing. When I want the background this color I just copied the color but I know there's a better way.

Yeah, I'm not sure how I managed to cut off the wing, I'll be more careful next time. I thought of copying the background but yeah, I thought maybe the format was what made the background clear, I dunno.

There's probably a program specialized to make transparent backgrounds, but I do know Photoshop can make transparent backgrounds.

I used paint, not sure exactly how you guys do it but I just went through replacing the pixels one by one.

One...by...one...?

You mean you technically drew the wings from scratch? Wow...

...unless you meant you dragged the wings onto him and replaced the pixels one by one to make it fit, yeah that's normal.

Yeah I did that, but then for the recolour I did them one by one. Is there a quicker, easier way/program?

Yeah, it's called the paint bucket

Edit: or whatever that color filling thing is

Looks very good, especially for your first try. My first "splice" was dragging Carnivine's head onto Lucario's body. >_<

Alright, this is my second attempt and this time, it's fully original.

Worked out how to make the background transparent, too.

Wow, that is really good. That's your second try? I think you have an artistic knack for splicing. ohmy.gif

Thanks, I'm glad you like it.

I can't work out how to use the existing colours of a sprite and it's near impossible to make a colour that's even remotely the same. Is there anyway to get the same colours using Paint?

(P.S. Heading into town to get Halo 3 in a few minutes. I know none of you care but I just thought I'd say it anyway.)
