It all started this morning. I was waking up from a dream about her being born, and Cresselia being moved up to Ubers and me protesting. My maid was telling me with a Mexican accent that I had to go to the hospital. I was half-asleep and still upset about Cresselia, so I disregarded her. But several visits back into my room and some yelling by my grandmother got me into the shower. After getting dressed I picked up the flowers and my DS and was on my way to the hospital. The man inside only had two visitor passes, two short (there was me, my aunt, my grandma, and my sister). But he said we looked like we knew where we were going (?) and let us pass by anyway. After taking the elevator, we made it to the room. I opened the door and saw my stepmom lying on the hospital bed, and my dad standing next to her cradling the infant. I was overjoyed, but my heart melted and I was nervous and standing in awe and wonder. After the greetings, we took turns holding her. She was precious. The day before I was reading Mythology and there were some stories about babies dying, and in 300, which I watched shortly before that, more babies were killed. Now of course, everyone has indignation at this, but maybe it's not fully possible to feel and understand until you actually hold a brand new bundle of life in your arms, peering at you with eyes open to the world for the first time. All the things I read about and saw before suddenly became even more abominable. Who could do such things to such innocence? Such purity? Surely they were monsters. Were cradled her and rocked her, and kissed her softly, stroking her beanie she was wearing on her head. Eventually she got hungry, so we had to leave the room and wait ouside for 15 minutes while she nursed. That's a long time to be feeding non-stop. Wow. At this time I was bored, so I got out my DS to play Pokemon. My aunt said I had to socialize and took it away from me. Apparently her idea of socializing was making me throw away old reciepts from her purse. Afterwards we went back inside and talked and held her some more. But time ran late, and we left. She was precious... she seemed to be everything... I couldn't wait till she came home. We had to leave shortly after. Her name is Nourjahan, (said like Noor-Juh-Han) it's a Muslim name. It's meaning is similar to my stepmom's, Elena. Both mean light. And boy, what a cute little light she is. =3 She's coming home this Thursday. My mom has to recover from her C-Section. |

The day my youngest brother was born, my grandfather threw his back out and my sister just about cut my other brothers finger off. I was at a friends house, safe ![]() |
