From the relatively little I've heard lately, this game seems to have troubles on emulators. You might just need to wait for a new emulator version.

i'm newbie here, so help me plzzz....

i have a problem too, with diz game,
when i start the game with iDeaS 1.0.2.6 that i just downloaded a few minutes ago, it workz n evrything okay, but after i press new game button, i can hear the sounds but there is no image/picture shows!!!!

evrything is black!!
can someone help me???

i tried no$gba 2.6a..
but when i play the game, after i can control Neku, i can find Neku!!!
the people around Neku are also black.....
i still can hear the sounds, see the background, but the people n dialog box are black
help plz...

well, first of all, don't double post, use the modify button instead please.

and well, if the game is still not working 100%, it only means one thing: the rom is not going to work, you'll keep finding those sort of bugs or mistakes during the game, so just live with that, wait for a new emulator OR (this may work, who knows) patch the rom, or download the ARM7 fix patched rom
