http://forums.qj.net/archive/index.php/t-116541.html ? Does that help?

[quote]I've noticed that a lot of people have been posting questions on a heap of forums asking how to transfer and use GPSP saves on a computer emulator (VisualBoy Advance) and still be able to use them on GPSP. After a lot of trial and error, I've found a way to do this.

1) Copy the .sav and .svs files from the GPSP folder into a backup folder.
2) Open VisualBoy Advance and go File/Import/Battery File and choose the .sav file.
3) Do what you want to do on VisualBoy Advance and save the file as a VisualBoy Advance Save File (.sgm).
4) On VisualBoy Advance go File/Export/Battery File and save it as exactly the same name of the ROM that the save file is from.
5) Rename the VisualBoy Advance .sgm file to the same name as the ROM file, the slot you want it to be in and then .svs as the file extension. e.g. Need for Speed Carbon: Own the City0.svs.
6) Copy both files back to where you copied the files from originally and run GPSP.
7) Go to the slot you put in the filename. There should be some random picture there. DON'T WORRY. This is perfectly normal. Just load the file and everything should work perfectly. If this doesn't work try to load savestate from file under savestate options.

ok something weird has happened.because i took the .sav file into gpsp and then deleted it.my file was erased.i still have the save state so i loaded it and then tried to save.but when i restart the emulator it says "file has been deleted due to corruption or damage".so i started a new game and when i tried to save the thing says"the backup memory is damaged,or the internal battery has run dry.you can still play but not save." so what can i do?

all the internal battery does is control time based events so just turn it on under options
if its says something about data corruption, change the save type to something else (usually flash128K or similar) or delete the save states, failing that you can try redownloading the rom

also try not to double (or even triple) post, just use the edit button

hello there,

I followed the steps ditto, however, I could not load the games as left in vba into my gpsp(on psp).  The save state from vba just does not load into the gpsp.  The game always starts as new (not taking in the last .svs/.sav files).
Any new inputs plz?

u99119/Mayank: If you did indeed follow the instructions, then things should be fine. At the end, it says: "if this doesn't work try to load savestate from file under savestate options." So have you tried that as well?

In the future, u99119/Mayank, it would be better if you created a new topic for yourself, bro.

And linkinkid, did you create a backup folder at all? If not, it's difficult to restore a lost save.
