At the very least, find a buddy who has a 360 and steal it so you can play Halo 3 for a bit.

This is an inside joke, but eggie: does anyone come to mind? ;)

wolfus, i have and finished both halo 1 and 2 for windows
they are both good games but they are not great games, on pc at least.
i saw nothing that special about halo 2 either, dual guns, good sequel, kind of short...but still an alright game
my above comment still stands...there are plenty of other shooters that out-class halo 1&2 in many ways

universe: hahah someone does spring to mind  :D but i dont think that he would let me play more than 1/2 hour on it cause he is scared of red ring of death or over heating it, remember... ;D

devon, I think you might've made a little mistake on the quote.

Makes it look like I said "Why, if you do that you're even more disgusting then the FPS-tards" which in fact... I didn't say. Unless, of course, there is a joke/insult that went over my head?

Not all that excited for Halo 3, strange though that I like(d) that game, not sure if I still do. I've lost interest in that a good while ago.

Triforce, I have also seen the ending to Halo 3. From what I heard and seen this is what happens at the last part:

The credits roll by and the game ends

Don't blame me if you highlight it, Copy and Paste it and it ruins the ending for you.

Great ending by the way I never would've expected it.

I just got it, well my mom bought it for me so I was greeted with a PWNAGE present coming home from school.

Also as Triforce brought up before, understanding the human race is difficult. We have people that don't like Halo but would rather sit around and play lame games like Mario and Zelda, where after tons of games the main points remain the same. Zelda: Run around like the wussy elf he is and collect some magical crap to save the princess... etc... Mario: Just run from one end to the next end of the level while hopping on midget monsters... etc... So I'd agree that the human race is difficult to understand, especially those that play true retarded games and have the nerve to bash a game that OWNS the retarded games they play.

Anyway, off to play now. ^_^

I camped out for that, and it was worth it. I'm not rushing it though, so I decided to play a chapter a week.

Awesome man, I'm not going to rush it either. Though, some of my friends got the game today and a few plan on beating the whole thing by tonight... meh >.>

Then it's off to Xbox Live.

[/quote]Of course, that's entirely the reason why Mario and Zelda have proven countless times to be as popular, if not more, than games like Halo, and have always been huge critical and commercial sucesses.

Your argument is also somewhat invalid when you say "Zelda: Run around like the wussy elf he is and collect some magical crap to save the princess... etc... Mario: Just run from one end to the next end of the level while hopping on midget monsters... etc...", because Halo is quite possibly one of the most shallow games I've ever played. It doesn't even attempt to do anything new in terms of gameplay, and basically, the ingame objectives in the Halo series are the same as every other damned FPS out there. All you tend to do is either "Go from point a to point b", "protect -insertnamehere-", "Protect -insertlocationnamehere-", "kill -x- number of enemies within time limit", "reach point b within -x- minutes", etc...

One more thing, calling people "retarded" isn't exactly a good way of winning an argument, especially for someone who claims to be "his school's finest debator".

Edit: Also, it appears that you think my taste in videogaming is limited to the likes of the Mario and Zelda series, well, you're wrong. I'm also a fan of Freelancer, Frets on Fire, Gunz, the FF Series, Chrono Trigger, Myst, the Max Payne series, the Doom series, The Elder Scrolls Series, StarSiege: Tribes, Sam & Max, KOTOR, the Worms series, the RETRO Sonic games, the Metroid Series, the Resident Evil series, The Sims series (occasionly), Perfect Dark (best FPS ever, period), the Megaman series, Blade Runner, Another World (most people haven't heard of this one, since it's one of the most hardcore videogames avalible), and the Phoenix Wright series, just to name a few.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7015663.stm

The game sets the record for the most money earned in a day by an entertainment product, topping figures set by film Spiderman 3.
-----------------------

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20998966/

"LOS ANGELES - Microsoft Corp's "Halo 3" video game set an opening-day U.S. sales record of $170 million, outdoing any video game or movie debut..."

-----------------------

I said it once, and I'll say it again: Halo 3 is not just another shooter. "Every other damned FPS out there" cannot break records like Halo does. There is a reason why it is selling so much right now, don't you think?

According to Gamerankings.com (a site that calculates the average score of a game based on many, many other reviews), Metroid Prime: Corruption got a 91.4%, Zelda: Twilight Princess got a 94.2%, and... Halo 3 got a 95.7%. Does anyone still think that Halo 3 is still just another shooter?

-Sticks hand up-

Remember, Halo 3 has only been out for a day or two, and not every review has been released yet, unlike Metroid Prime 3 and Zelda: TP. Bioshock, for example, was at number 4 in it's first week or two of release, mostly due to the first positive reviews, but soon came in the more negative reviews (it's the same with every game), it quickly dropped down.

Halo 3 has been only breaking records, from my point of view, because it's been easily the most over-hyped game in history.

Of course, this is all my opinion, since in a case like this, there's no such thing as fact. Anyone who claims an opinion as a fact is an extremely weak-minded and narrow person, and shouldn't even have the right to speak.
