I'm trying to play "Runefactory: Harvest Moon", I've downloaded the firmware and the bios files and put them in the same folder as my No$Gba, and when I left click and select "Save State" the file is created like it should be. But when I try to "load state" then I get this error message:

When I try to use the game's method of saving (the diary by the bed) no file is created or anything but I don't get an error. Please help me, I've searched for a long time and can't find anything out.
[EDIT]
Also, I've tried all the savestates (restarted program every time) and it just says "the rom image has crashed" and then closes the program.

Save states wont's work. Ingame saves are stored in the BATTERY folder, and must be loaded through the game. You can't select a ingame save and then load it. You need to start the ROM and then use its system to load it.

I tried the game's save feature, but whenever I do that and I restart the game, when I go to "continue" to use the game's load feature all the profiles are empty as if I never made a save file. The .sav file is in the battery folder like you said, but the game doesn't recognize it or something.

Hmm.. It might be the save type, try changing it to another option and see if it helps. Repeat with all options until you find one that works.

I went through all the savestates like you said, and I got two of them to partially work; I got them to show up at the loading screen but when I try to load them it just says "loading" perpetually and doesn't actually load...

Hmm... Flash 256k should be the correct option apparently.. If it doesn't work after that, then try out another emulator. Try DeSmuMe next, then iDeaS, then NeonDS.

I get a problem with each of those =(

DeSmuMe: When load up the rom I just get a white screen on the emulator. I tried all the savestate options.

iDeas: Sorta works, but it's unbearably choppy and skippy and is at 28fps. Is there any way to change that?

NeonDS: It doesn't even start up, when I try to open it it just gives me an error message that says "this application has failed to start because d3dx9_31 was not found. Re-installing application may fix this problem" but I don't even understand that error because there was no installation invoved, all the rar from this site had in it was a NeonDS.exe, no installation.

[EDIT] Woah, it worked, I was finally able to load the game with no$gba. I have no idea what happenned differently but I just opened it up again and figured I'd give it another try, and it worked. Thanks for all your help.

I think I just figured out why that forever-loading thing was happening, so I'll post it here in case somone has a simillar problem and searches thing. When I tried to load the save file, the sound was set to "none" in the emulation settings. Once I turned it back on and saved the settings and restarted the cartrage it loaded quickly.

Before you load the game, go into the settings and set the sound to Disabled. Then load the game in the emulator. You can re enable sound later if you want. Hope thats easier to understand.

Whoops, I misread the above post. According to that, you need to save while sound is enabled and then try and load the game.
