I've played pokemon sapphire and emerald on the visual boy advance(not VBALink).Can I load my old save file on VBALink?

Yep, it should work. Though you might need to change the extension.

Ok,now I get it.But I've got a new problem.When I tried to trade,after I enter the room,there's a text saying:
Communication Error...
Please check all connections,then turn the power off and on

Can anyone please help me?

I'm not sure in regards to that problem...
