This was originally posted on my Pokemon Diamond thread but it applies globally:

i) Wait for a new version of the emulator and see if that helps.
ii) Increase the process priority to High and you should get a speedup.
iii) Ensure that there are no background applications running.
iv) Disable sound if not needed.
v) Get a better computer

You could also try modifying the "Emulation Speed/LCD Refresh" setting...

OK here's what it says

Computer:

              Intel(R)
Celeron (R) CPU 1.70GHz
1.70 GHz
480 MB of RAM

that's what it says, so is this enough to get NO$GBA faster?

i think its not your computer problem.

this is my emulator option,

emulator speed,lcd refresh:unlimited Mhz-disaster 50%
reset/startup entrypoint:start catridge directly
video output:24 true colour
gba mode:vga poppy bright
nds catridge backup media:flash 512kb
sound output mode:digital mono(fast)
sound desired sample rate:low(10 Khz)(fast)

at the control option,

joystick/gamepad:disable(fast)

other are default.

i hope this will help you.

try to close other running program on the bakcground and other process.this will help to make your emulator become more faster.if it not help you i think you just need to wait for new version to be release.try download new emulator or rom.

Dude, guys, have you even looked at any of the recent DS topics lately? No$gba is not a fully compatible DS emulator. It can run some games perfectly, and some not. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl work, but they are pretty much slow no matter which settings you have.(unless you have a fast computer, which has to be extremely fast to get Pokemon Diamond to full speed) Take a look around, jeez.
