I downloaded VBA, but when I tried loading a ROM, the screen went black with alternating percentages.... ???


any ideas?-Thank you!

could be many things,
bad download,
the rom may need patching,
settings may need changing.

Kinda helps with more details,
like what rom you was trying to run

I was trying to load Pokemon Sapphire to VBA, but a blank screen just appeared and "Loaded Battery" appeared for a while in red at the bottom. Also, percentages keep on changing. I've tried other ROMs as well and the same thing happens.

There is a patch available for sapphire, You can try that,

Could also be your emulator, Try a Different version.

Some older roms don't work on the newer VBA Emulators, Try an older version.
