I have never downloaded an Iso before and i was wondering what it was. Its a stupid question I know but is it permanently on your computer? thats basically the only thing i've been fearing about them is that they leave permanent traces of themselves.can someone explain exactly what they are. Thanks in advance. ;D

Alcohol is CD / DVD burning copying backup recording duplication emulation and creation software.

ISO files are actually images of complete CDs burned as one whole image. ISO images can be mounted by ISO burner or ISO recorder and read just like the original

its an exact copy of a cd,
you need a program like alcohol to run them,

Alcohol makes cloned (fake drives) onto your computer,
so you load the iso into one of these fake drives,
thus fooling your game into thinking it actually in a Drive, (some cds won't run unless the cd is in the drive,

if you don't want the game, simple delete the iso file, and its gone.
