on pokemon diamond how can i make it go faster?

If you're playing on VBA, pressing -and holding Spacebar will make the game run a lot faster. Not much suitable for playing though, more for fast-forwarding scenes etc

If you want better-smoother performance, you should try to use not resource hungry filters like hq(x)x, lower the resoultion, and find the best combination for you by trial and error method.

I don't have much knowledge about no$gba but in game save points will surely work.Like saving locations in FF, Summon Night Games, in all rpgs.. If you want to do it manually, than possibly
File-Save Game menu or similar option should be availible

VBA is overall a much better emu than nocashgba in my book.
