hi im new to the whole emulator thing so if i sond heaps amateur then its coz i only got into this today.

umm i recently downloaded a game ( pokemon ruby) and i was wondering what program i need to download to play it? and if so, where can i find this program?

thanks,  i have the visual boy advance program, i just dont kno how to play the game in the program, do i go open>? or import or something?

Go to > File > Open > locate the rom on your computer > highlight it > Then click Open >

thanks but when i do that the whole thing goes white and up the very top where it says visual boy advance, the percentages go up and down, like 35% 82% 96%97% n all that and it never comes up

[/quote] Your rom either requires a patch to be applied or you need a different version of Visualboy to play it correctly.
Assuming you are referring to "Pokemon Ruby"
it requires a patch

If you still have troubles playing after you have applied the patch use a different version of visualboy advance
VBA 1.7.1 or 1.7.2 for the white screen
