Well i guess it isnt the problem, i saw people with X2 4800+, and Core2Duo with low speed in the game, nice VGAs, so i guess the problem is with the emulator ;)
But if he has a Pentium II the speed will be slowly than with a new CPU

The game works fine, runs quite well (I have an excellent computer), etc. I can save and load fine. However - the emulator randomly crashes. This seems to only happen when 'accepting' things - that is, pressing the A button. For example, pressing A to continue when talking to an NPC, or using the menu, etc. It crashes so often that it's unplayable.

Any ideas? I'd greatly appreciate any help.

From what I've gathered, it's related to the "Emulation Speed/LCD Refresh" option, though it seems to have a problem with Catalyst 7.4 on my system.

If its so bad that its unplayable, try changing the "Emulation Speed/LCD Refresh" settings or try falling back to an older version of your graphics drivers.

BTW: I've only experienced crashes when using Catalyst 7.4 (It always crashed consistently when starting any game after 2 seconds) and when changing the sound settings too often.

EDIT: If that doesn't help, just learn to save OFTEN :P

Ive got the saves to load for the english version, alot of people have renamed the no$gba.INP to firmware.bin, delete the firmware file that you renamed and the saves should load perfect, also remove the bios files fromn the no$gba folder, becuase when they are there it may be a reason for the game crashing, well when i removed them it stopped the crashing for me.

1) Start Up Task Manager.
2) In the Processes Tab, right click the No$GBA process.
3) There should be a "Set Priority" sub menu and then select High.

Does anyone have the link for the BIOS?  All the ones posted don't work anymore.

hi guys....my patch for saving doesnt seem to work....am i supposed to keep the files with the rom or with the emulator

just for convenience try to put everything in one folder and follow universe_JDJ's  thread it tells u everything u need to know in a format that even a five yr old could understand da link for it is 3 posts up

Could anyone post some .sav files from the following stages in the game for us to use?
Right before the first battle...
Right before each gym battle...
Right before the Elite Four...
All pokemon obtained possibly shiny at level 100 right before the first battle and right before/after the elite four(it would obviously cheated)...
Beaten the Elite Four...
Any of these with different starters than those that were posted previously...
Anything else that people would want that you could think of...

I realize that no one person could or would do this all with any type of speed, but links would be appreciated by myself and probably others as well.  Also if you just put in one or two of those it would be great, it would add up as multiple people fulfilled different requests.

P.S.  I am not saying this just for myself, I am sure that others would appreciate it as well.

P.P.S.  Just remember it would need to be a .sav file, as it is the only kind you can load with NO$GBA

P.P.P.S. I found a .sav file at http://forums.maxconsole.net/showpost.php?p=499655&postcount=3 but it seems that the way the patch works is that it somehow saves within the game file itself.  I know this because I replaced all of my save files with the USA part of that file and when I closed, and reopened the ROM with NO$GBA and though the .sav's and .sna's I had made had all been deleted, I could still load my working orginal save file that I had made, and not the one that I had replaced it with(It couldn't be the .sav I downloaded because it was the same to the square).  Please, if you know how to overcome this, or know of a place with information on how to overcome this, please provide us all with the information.  Perhaps there is another method of using the save patch with another program, or .ips file that would change the method of loading so that game saves(that aren't your own) could be loaded.

P.P.P.P.S. A way to load the conventional .duc(action replay) game saves would also be fantastic, if you know of a way to do that, or of course with any other type of game save such as .nsa.
