DirectX is installed with Windows isn't it? And no, you don't need DirectX. You can select OpenGL rendering in VBA.

No it isn't, at least none of my pc's are that way...
You have your operating system Cd, your Drivers Cd and you Applications Cd,
Direct x is located on my Application Cd , which I never install, unless I find Something needing it down the rd. and ya, my systems are all windows xp.

As I said, You don't need Direct x to play visualboy advance
