i have been having problems with my emulator the speed is slow about 70-75 and the game keeps on running but the buttons do not work it kind a freezes but works again after a while

try configuring the buttons again, and the freeze thing, well it just used to happen to me, but stopped after some time...

Its probably your computer specs. Try to post your CPU, RAM, and Video specs. Or otherwise change how many frame it skips and the Throttle in which it skips.

tips for faster running:

1. use no$gba instead, it's faster, but has less features

2. turn the sound off

3. if you are using vba 1.8.0 beta3, don't, the beta3 has a tendency to be slow, download 1.8.0 beta2.

you do not need to use no$gba. Change the frame skip, throttle rate and make sure that you are using 5000 programs at once, e.g. have Photoshop open while listening to music on winamp and playing VBA and watching 5 other movies. That will really kill your machine :P

When you play the gba games, just make sure to run only that program otherwise dont bother playing.
