why would a ds need a usb anyway? i suppose to get stuff off from the internet? (does this go into the ds? - does the ds even have a usb port?)

To get online, the DS requires either an special USB adaptor to plug into your computer, or a supported wireless router.

Exactly, the DS can't jsut spontaneously connect to the internet.
If you have compitble routers like the one I use you can connect by typing in the WEp and such, but you can also buy the DS USB dongle that lets you connect. This thing 1ci1 posted a pic of does not allow you to connect to the internet wth a ds.
