Today, in the first of 3 press confrences, the Nintendo president Satoru Iwata annonced the final details of the Wii, including price of games, virtual console game prices, prices of the Wii-mote and Wii-mote accesorys, and most importantly, the console itself.
In Japan, the console will go on retail on the 2nd of december for aproximatly 250$, and will include the console, a Wii-mote and a nun-chuck accesory. Wii-sports now includes 5 sports games (Baseball, Tennis, Baseball, Bowling and Boxing), and will retail for around 30$. Most other games will be on sale for around 50$, 10$ cheaper than the XBOX 360.
Also, Nintendo has shown of some of the Wii OS's functions, such as "Wii-mail" which allows you to send messages to people on your friend list, or to other family members that have got their own account on the Wii. Wii-weather is a previously unknown function which allows the user to check the weather on any location on earth using a 3D earth simular to the one seen in Google Earth. Also, "Wii-news" is a new function which allows users to check on important news in their area and Nintendo related news aswell. Finally, theres the "Wii-generator", which allows to to create yourself in a Wii-man form (which will be used for friend codes and Wii-sports).
Virtual console games cst from 5 to 10 wii-points each, and there will be a Wii-points card, whic'll cost about 42$ for 5000 Wii-points.
Also, the Wii-mote will cost around 40 dollars, and accesorys, such as the nun-chuck and the classic controller, will cost around 15 dollars each.
