The panasonic 3DO was $500 when if first came out in 93.
But for now, I'm a little upset with the PS3 and the Xbox360 both have 'poor' versions, which sadly are overpriced anyway, and then there are 'rich' versions which have the only desirable features and they costs way too much money for the average gamer.

Those overheating problems are supposedly going to be fixed by this upcoming 'holiday season'. The processor is like 60nm and their going up to 90nm.
