I want to play my GTA but I need to update my Firmware. But I want to keep my 1.50 Firmware. So anyone have any ideas?

Also the ISO's keep freezing when I try to load them up.

It say's its compatible with the umd emulator on the compatability list.

Firmware emulators.
Check out maxconsole.net 's forums for more.

No offence but I would prefer to not be sent to MaxConsole the whole time.

Is there and easy tutorial you could just copy and paste here please? I have downgraded to 1.50 already so that part is covered.

Also I followed this guide but to no avail.

I'm referring you to maxconsole cause I gave up on my PSP long ago and have not followed the scene recently. I do not know enough about it these days as, when I stopped reading up on everything, you couldn't play games that required 2.6 firmware on 1.5 PSPs. I gave up on trying to do that very same thing and upgraded to 2.6 and never looked back. I did read on maxconsole though that you could do it, soon after I upgraded (ack!).

Basically, I'm referring you to maxconsole, not because I'm trying to get rid of you, but because 1) it'd be cool for you to get some experience doing research like this, and 2) I don't know what to tell you other than refer you to the people who know the most about it.

Oh right I did not know you had given up on the PSP.

I got it working. I installed DevHook and now I can play ISO's that require FirmWare up to 2.71

Also you can downgrade from 2.60 to 1.50 and use the DevHook FirmWare emulator to use the functions of 2.71

Last time I checked one needed an old copy of GTA:LSC for PSP to do so, which I, nor anyone I know owns. So, yes I can technically downgrade, but I personally cannot at the moment. Someday though....
