Here we have the Nintendo Gameboy versus the Nintendo DS. Nintendo vs Nintendo. Seems a bit unbalanced but we need to find out what the best handheld is here. Vote now!

Wow, what a toughy this one is. I love the hell out of my Nintendo DS, but the gba also has some great titles to play. Apart from the fact that the DS has a GBA slot, i will not use this as an example to explain why the GBA is better. 2D gaming is generaly what the gba has been designed to do. It can run 3D games, which i would agree is a bit of a plus side. The graphics are incredible, maybe just a little better than the snes's graphics, but enough to make me want to keep playing the GBA more than the snes. The games on offer is enormous. There's probably around 1000 gba games for this 1 handheld. Most of the games are rated as average, but the other games such as: Doom, Doom2, Pokemon series, Zelda series, Golden Sun 1 and 2, Advance wars series, Wario Ware, and Super Mario Advance are pure gold. The DS has it's good games too, but i prefer 2D gaming compared to 3D gaming. I know that the DS already has a few 2D games as well, but im more into old school 2D gaming, not new school 2D: Ie - Kirby's Canvas Curse, Paper Mario DS, etc. So i vote for gba.

Well i'm going to go outside the box here and choose the GBA. Think of how happy you were when you got the GBA, Plus it has a wider range of games. Sure the NDS has better Graphics and better features but at the time the GBA was loved more then what the NDS is now.

GBA gets my vote.

GBA, because it is more widely used, more games, more simple, fun games.  You can't really go wrong with it, especially because of it's past games.
